Blessed are you when you hit an unexpected happy hour. 2 for 1 drinks and $5.00 off appetizers. Bone-in wings were very good, and shrimp street tacos were excellent. Splurged with a 3rd appetizer of pulled pork nachos that were out of this world. Needless to say, we never got post the appetizers.Wine and beer selections were also very good.Oh, and I can't forget the service. Bright friendly and helpful staff kept our plates and glasses full. Wish I was staying at the hotel another night to enjoy this Tavern again.
We had a terrific experience at the Tavern. Our server was pleasant and upbeat. I had the Club sandwich and cheese curds. Top notch curds and the meat was plentiful on the whole grain bread. My wife had the steak bites and mushrooms. She was impressed with the good amount of bites. We'll have to go back in the summer to enjoy the outdoor atmosphere of Lake Bemidji.
Arrived at 8:40pm... bartender was ok to get drinks but extremely slow on coming back to inform that the kitchen was closing. Instead she was too busy doing pull tabs with customers.
I highly recommend you order the cajun mint chutney mac.......Amazing!
The Tavern, they lack in service to put it plainly. It took 10 min to get a cola and a menu with No one other than one other person...took another 10 to 15 min to get my order in. And when the food arrived another 20 plus min later it was overcooked... I gave it another attempt a few days later and was greated with faster service but the pasta was super over sauced and overcooked box noodles with a few chunks of meat, the appetizer was brought out on a metal toster type sheet... small amounts of toppings other than cheese, melted cheese was Hella hard and did not eat because the chips seemed like they had lived passed their prime. Both times I let the staff know this was unsatisfactory and was not given a discount or anything for that matter... so I would not suggestthe food at this establishment. It lacks and for the price it's just not there... Plus side was the bar and dining area was super clean and the drinks where made well...maybe a little stiff/ heavy-handed with the pouring at times but who really complins a out that?

Very friendly staff, good apps!Stopped down after arriving to the hotel, was seated immediately, and multiple servers stopped by to check on us. Very friendly, and the food arrived quickly. We just ordered three apps, all were good - reasonably priced for the quality. It is a bar, so we didn’t expect anything crazy, but the food was def above average and I’d certainly go back. I liked the walleye strips the best, and the mushrooms were very good too.
