I might be a bit biased because this bar is completely my aesthetic.But great drinks, awesome atmosphere, cool record selection, friendly staff.Wish I lived closer, because I'd visit this place real often.
Always have had a good experience at this bar. Bartenders are super friendly and the tiki cocktails are tasty, well-crafted, and beautifully decorated. Atmosphere is also unique as the bar is inside a record shop. Highly recommend!
Favorite cocktail bar in the area! Every drink I've tried is delicious and everyone who works there is awesome. If you haven't been, you need to go ASAP!
Best caipirinhas in town. They may also be the only caipirinhas in town, but they really are good. We've tried a few other drinks here, but we come for the caipirinhas. Also nice to have MST3K on the screen, and Alice Cooper playing-- of course, the music is different every time.
I saw the bartender served some lime on the palm of her HAND to a customer!!!! and the other bartender garnished a cocktail with the same hand that she just used to give credit card and pen to someone!!! Disgusting!!! Is this place a Covid distribution center???It actually makes me sad to give them bad reviews because the place looks nice and the cocktails were tasty,... but never again!!!
Super fun cocktails, I think there were 8 people in there and had a very strong queer vibe from everyone so thats great ? and the whole set up was so rad!
WaxBar has definitely grown on me. When I first heard about the place all I knew is that it was a cocktail bar and a little pricey. Now that I've been a few times I really dig it. They have a great happy hour that ends at 6pm, which I recommend. But what really brings me back is just how well the drinks are made. Their cocktails truly have a lot going on and are made with great ingredients. Nothing is coming out of a plastic mixer bottle at this place! They also do some tiki style drinks which are very lavish. Lastly, the place is called waxbar because they have a long wall of vinyl records that they sell, many of which are only two dollars. It's definitely worth a visit.

My favorite cocktail bar! They offer a wide variety of cocktails with incredible balance and presentation. Each one feels totally unique and the bartenders are knowledgeable and friendly. The tiki theme is a fun change and I appreciate the eclectic display of art and records in the bar. Ypsi is lucky to have this place as an addition to the community!
This bar is the best. The drinks are delicious, the vibe is relaxed, and the music is great. Love this place!
