We had Ma Lou's cater our wedding. They were absolutely flawless in their execution, and the food was FABULOUS. Our guest raved about it, and said it was the best fried chicken they've ever eaten. KC was awesome & easy to work with. Exceeding my expectations. Would absolutely recommend & will be using them in the future!
Omg ? this is some good food! The seasoning of everything I got was delicious, the ranch is amazing never had anything like it! The zesty sauce for the onions is perfect. The Gouda on the sandwich was perfect! This is what I Got; the OG sandwich (southern spice) and lemon pepper wings, fries and onion pedals, zesty sauce for the onions pedals and spicy ranch for the wings.Wife love it too, definitely are new wing and comfort food spot!
The food was ok very flavorful but not traditional, seasoning was salty & greens were room temp and couldn’t really get them reheated. The banana pudding was disappointing no fresh bananas as well as id prefer cookie/chunks at the bottom the banana chips weren’t needed. And no ice? Very clean with Friendly staff though! And not to mention food came out quick!
The southern food comfort to you are looking for. Loved the collards, mashed potatoes and fried chicken. Tofu bhan mi was great as well.
All I gotta say is OMG YUMMY! Snake bite smasher was so good & the fried Brussel sprouts were AMAZING! Give this local restaurant a try, they don't disappoint! Great and friendly staff, very informative and patient with all my questions.
I think this is the best fried chicken I've had in my life n I've ALWAYS been invited to the cookout. Even living n traveling down south for a lot of my life, this is top tier. Medium spicy is the perfect balance of heat n flavor. I always stop by when I have work in ypsi.
I just found out that they stopped selling the jerk chickensandwich. I am sooo disappointed. Why do restaurants do that? Remove a popular item. I’m from out of town and that is the first thing I order when I come to Michigan 3 times a month. Very disappointed. Bring the jerk chicken sandwich back! I guess I’ll try something else.
Ma Lous never disappoints when it comes to food. The banh mi sandwich is a solid choice that never fails. Their onion petals are crispy and tasty. The only thing that irks me is that they charge 50 cents if you want them to cut a sandwich for you, but the food and service is always worth it. I love watching their social media to see what specials they are running.
