PLEASE DONT WAIST YOUR MONEY OR TIME! I decided to try the Chicken Shack in Ypsilanti for the very first time today due to the long wait in the drive through pick up next door at Popeyes. Well after trying this place i should've waited in line at Popeyes instead. I ordered the Rib snack and the fried chicken sandwich at Chicken Shack and regretted it right after opening the box. For $15 I got 5 boney baby back ribs had no flavor and barely any meat of them in as well as BBQ sauce. For my side I asked for Onion rings but they were out, so I got fries instead. The $8 chicken sandwich was lame and was not seasoned. Needless to say this will be my last time spending $$ at this place.
I got the two piece, but just legs. So, they ended up giving me three! It was a nice surprise. I also got the shack potatoes as the side and it came with the roll. Everything was fresh and tasted really good. The service was great and the workers are so kind. They did really well speed wise considering it was the dinner rush. This place is a huge step up from its next-door neighbor: Popeyes.
Give them 3 stars for descent food. Shocked to try and order at 7 pm on Saturday valentines night to find they aren't taking orders. This is one of the busiest days of the year. Crazy crazy crazy.
Called ahead for a large order for a birthday party the day before. When I arrived everything was hot and ready to go! The owner was super nice and the staff as well! The store was super clean which is always nice to see. Everyone at the party loved the ribs, and the chicken was tasty as well! Can't say enough great things about the food and the service. We'll be back for more!
Went their with some friends today and it was great. Food was good. People were nice. Service was phenomenal! Janet recommend the ribs and potatoes to me. Wasn't let down at all. They were so good!!
I had previously gone here and enjoyed it. This time the chicken tenders were rubbery and soggy. The mushroom dish had stuck together and my husband said they tasted off. The chicken sandwich was rubbery as well. Did not drive far home at all, so I don't think the rubbery/soggy was because of driving time.
Came for first time Saturday January 8, 2022. Tried chicken, fish, fries. All was nasty. Greasy tasting and no flavor. Looks awful too. Never again. Spent $33. Smh. Called and a guy said give you a $5 credit. I told him he was funny $5 and spent $33.
I didn’t know this was a chain. Location is clean food is great! I don’t understand why people always say there is a lack of seasoning. Add some salt on your own. Most restaurants overseas on the breading and food is mediocre. Chicken is awesome!
The food and service is Phenomenal!!! The manager, John has top notch customer service. He greeted us when we walked in and ensured that we viewed our order and was happy with the food.
Before arriving to this location yesterday, I called and informed the staff that I wanted a two piece meal with one side; a breast and leg. They informed me that it was available with a deal they had going on currently.Upon arriving I was informed that it would be a thigh instead of a breast. I informed the manager that I asked for a breast over the phone and confirmed it was in the deal.He stated that due to the inconvenience he would allow it this time but not in the future. The food was hot and prepared to perfection. I will be arriving in the future. The initial encounter started off rocky but ended with me having a smile. Thank you!
