A Grandville-area resident suggested Sports Center Cafe to us out-of-towners as a post-church alternative to a chain eatery. We had a 10-minute wait to get in. (Sign at the door requested patience, explaining they were operating short-handed.) Essentially a bar & grill in a strip mall, the eatery bills itself as a family-friendly restaurant on some materials. Ambience: Lots of Detroit Tigers & Lions printed materials on the walls. Don't remember any televised games, but there may have been one or two. Feels like a neighborhood favorite. Saw owner chatting with customers, called him over and learned of the wonders of Skrewball (peanut-butter flavored) whiskey, but we passed on a tasting. Menu: Primarily focuses on burgers, pork, chicken, eggs, burritos and salads. Sunday mornings/afternoons are limited to a breakfast menu that ain't what you'd expect at a bar. Foodie had a breakfast sandwich, milk & coffee. Vegetarian had avocado toast, fruit oatmeal and coffee. Food was delicious. Service: Two servers moving quickly and efficiently.

Always good consistent food for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Great value.

The chicken tortilla soup is fantastic!! It had nice big pieces of chicken, corn, cheese, and seasoned to perfection. Staff was great; place is clean and welcoming.

Awesome service and 5 star food! Such a nice and friendly atmosphere! This is a weekly stop for me and my friends!

Decent local spot. The food is average, but we know to expect that here, its nice and close to home sp an easy dinner spot. The usually have great service unless its super busy. They also have trivia night which is so fun and you can win a gift card towards your food. The picture is the burger that has grilled cheese sandwiches as a bun haha ?

Family Friendly place with some excellent burgers! This is the type of hole-in-the-wall place the locals go to! So you should too!

I'm not sure why it works but it does. Reminds me of a tollbooth in Alabama. The characters that work here are endearing. Like those cousins you see twice in your life in adolescents and you wished you were from THAT household.

Fantastic find! We were visiting GR, looking for a local place rather than chain. This place was really good! A bit dusty, but we're all working short handed- food and service were top notch.

Not great food. Fries and ranch were REALLY good but the burger was WAY overcooked. Ordered medium and was past well done...burger also had little to know flavor. Staff seems nice but was a Togo order.

Straight out refused to let my group of ten individuals come watch a golf tournament on a Sunday morning. You’re a sports bar, why would you not want the business of dudes who want to spend money eating and drinking for a couple hours at your bar?
