Ponchos Tacos has some of the most authentic Mexican food around. I have only recently been introduced to this restaurant but I have continued to come back for the amazing experience. The staff is very friendly and speak both English and Spanish ...along with being super fast no matter how busy they are (and yeah, they get really busy) they have yet to disappoint in any way. Orders are always correct and what you ask for you will get. The interior of this establishment is very pleasing so do not let the exterior make the impression on you. If you have been craving some great authentic food you will not regret going out of your way for this experience.
I rated Ponchos a 4 just because of the amazing customer service we got from the owner. The space is really fresh and inviting. Well done. The major complaint and room for improvement is the food. The flavors are there. Really tasty. The portions, or more accurately, the proportions, need work. I had 3-4 satisfying bites of my burrito, but the rest was a double folded mouthful of tortilla. The guacamole was over beaten as well. Excellent flavors, just some room to improve.
We walked in and were immediately greeted by the staff and felt so welcome. It’s so cute but casual in there. The food was ready quickly after ordering and we literally watched the chef cook our food, so fresh. Honestly, the Asada taco is the best I’ve had in Grand Rapids if you’re looking for an authentic taco. They also serve your meal with two homemade salsas and both were delicious and added to the dish without taking away from the flavor of the meat/vegetables. Will be returning asap!!!
What a pleasant surprise! I stopped in on a whim and SO glad I did. The staff was very friendly, and the tacos INCREDIBLE! I ordered 2 steak tacos. They pulled out and cooked the meat fresh, carmelized the onions, and the tortillas were perfect. Truly authentic and you can tell they take pride in what they serve. They also gave 2 house made sauces, both fantastic. The horchata was excellent too. One of my new favorite places for sure!
Fantastic authentic tacos. This place is for sure top 3 in tacos in all of GR and a super hidden gem in Wyoming. All the tacos are amazing and their 3 taco, rice and beans deal is the best! They were super friendly and speak English or Spanish, also I ordered and within 7 minutes I was walking out with a dozen tacos. I will be here multiple times a month since I live so close. Do yourself a favor and eat here.
stopped in to get my husband a burrito to go. people were very friendly, food was made fast, and my husband said the burrito was delicious. Bonus for having a sauce hot enough for him.
our first time today and everything was sooooooo delicious ? ??? my new favorite spot for sure the staff were so open inviting and friendly, just the most down to earth people which makes the places that much more better !!
I love how friendly the staff were. The tacos were delicious and the shrimp fajitas were amazing. Great clean atmosphere I highly recommend. This will be my new taco joint! thank you for the hospitality Poncho.
My boyfriend and I ate here for the first time and it was amazing. Our food was absolutely delicious, authentic and fresh. The design of the interior was so nice unique. The owner was so kind and friendly you can tell she values her customers and her restaurant. Highly recommend eating here.
Three tacos, rice, and beans for $9.99! Shoot you can't beat that deal! The carnita tacos are juicy and flavorful. The pastor is delicious with nice pineapple pieces. The hot sauce choices are great. Will be a repeat customer for sure!
