I grew up with a small pizza place in town called Ports of Call that had the best pizza oven baked type pizza I've ever had. Think like Italian pizzeria style pizza where they put it on the long wooden thing and slide it in to the oven, not like a deep dish super greasy pizza from Jets or anything. I grew up on this pizza and it literally has fun childhood memories for me. My mother's favorite pizza was simply ham and mushrooms and I remember eating it often. They went out of business probably 20 years ago and I can still taste it today but I've had a hard time finding any other pizza that was like this even in Chicago. Don't get me wrong I have had pizza that was even better than this pizza from my childhood but there's just something about it it's almost like comfort food. Joe's is the first pizza place that I have found that makes their pizza almost the same way and with an end product that tastes almost identical to what I had as a child. On a Saturday night when I'm home alone watching movies I like to just grab a ham and mushroom pizza and if I'm feeling creative maybe throw a little bacon on there and just watch movies from when I was a kid.. no but seriously if you've never had Joe's give it a try the pizza is great The customer service is excellent and they're super friendly. It's definitely like a small town neighborhood pizzeria, not like a chain.

Ordered a pizza tonight (4/17) cause the kids/family were hungry- waited 45 minutes for it just to get home and it was literally burnt!! After waiting 45 minutes and not eating until 840pm I wasn’t trying to wait another 45 minutes for a new pizza.. so the few pieces that didn’t look like this we tried to make work! But when you pay 35$ for pizza and breadsticks it’s very disappointing to think this was ok to box and serve to someone..

Very disappointed after waiting 45 mins for food.

Had for the first time on Saturday night 4-9-22. They had my order wrong to begin with. Had the wrong toppings on my pizza. Pizza lacked flavor. The chicken wings are not wings, just dry nuggets. They gave me expired soda (I checked the expiration date due to it tasting expired.) will NOT go back.

Family-owned eatery means it gets a good rating from me, being open late is even better. What sells it is the hand made cannolis and friendly service of those working in this tiny little eatery. It's unfussy, it's down to earth, it's friendly, and the food is pretty damn good too. Have not ordered a single thing here I didn't like. It's been in business since '76, and it shows in its quality and service. Have conversations with the workers here every time I'm visiting.

I've enjoyed Joe's for years but last night was the last time I waste my hard earned money there. Pizza was sloppy greasy and so thin that it literally sank into the box. Looked like they dropped it on the floor. Cheese was skirted to one side. Asked for two toppings on only half they literally just through them in the middle. I payed 22 dollars for this and a three dollar tip cause I picked it up. Now tell me you want to eat here?

The best pizza I’ve had but got overcharged, not to mention a customer bought the same amount of slices and his slices got wrapped up in aluminum foil. Guess what she didn’t even asked me if wanted them wrapped when I got home it was a messed.

Love the pizza but the girl I spoke with was extremely rude on the phone and didn’t even say bye and just hung up. Horrible customer service and no phone skills!!! Also, when I called back and questioned the price based on their website she said “oh that hasn’t been updated”. That’s not on her but that’s false advertising on the owner.

I ordered a 14 inch one topping pepperoni pizza, a ham and cheese sub and some breadsticks. My ham and cheese sub was so soggy and i ordered it extra crispy. pizza was so greasy and wet but my breadsticks were good! The employees seemed stressed but i will try again another time!
