Sad to see this business closed. Chicken was WAY BETTER than KFC, Popeyes, and Chicken Shack. Loved ordering big orders for parties. I wish he'd just moved somewhere else to continue buying.
The owner quit. Was going to order some chicken today. Bummer. We sure will miss having your broasted chicken dinners. I had your butterfly/jumbo shrimp once. It was good. Anyways, best of blessings
Guy that runs the shop was friendly and customer service oriented. I hate to say this, but the food just wasn't that good. It wasn't absolutely terrible, but even by fast casual standards it lacked.
A friend suggested I try this chicken so I figured I’d stop in for lunch and try it out. I tried to make casual conversation with an older guy, who I presume was the owner. I told him this was my first time there, thinking he would make suggestions or be welcoming. Instead he said he’s been in that location for x years and do I expect him to roll out the red carpet. Wow, totally not what I expected. I said no, I thought you might provide some insight and he pointed to the menu. OK, so maybe he’s having a bad day. I asked if he tried Chicken Shack and he replied no. I said that’s understandable since you make chicken. I explained that my experience with Chicken Shack was that they prepare their chicken too dry and he nodded. I told him my name and asked him his and he said what, you gonna need my social security number next, I’m the chicken man. Perhaps he has a weird sense of humor. I made my selection, placed my order and he pointed out he only accepted cash. I missed the signs and didn’t have enough cash so I said I gotta hit the ATM. As I was leaving he said there are signs all over stating he only accepted cash and I should go to Chicken Shack. Unbelievable. Clearly he didn’t want my business.
I called just before 1pm, peak lunchtime hours (so other orders had to come in), to pick up just a chicken breast for a small lunch, and his exact words were "you're asking me to run a 15 thousand dollar machine for one chicken breast?"Why yes. I absolutely expected if I ordered a chicken breast that is a menu item, I'd be able to get it.Maybe if he wasn't such a jerk and a few other choice words, he'd have enough orders to accommodate his residential neighbors just wanting a small lunch that wasn't from a corporate chain. Would not ever recommend and I won't be returning strictly on the fact that he is a rude and mean individual. He has always been unpleasant, but this was beyond unprofessional.
Chicken is better than KFC. The homemade ranch is on point. Been going here for many years. Love it! Only downside is that it's cash only so hit up the ATM on your way
The chicken from the coop is amazing. The Ranch is Legendary and so is the Owner. No time for your BS or credit cards. Hardest working chicken king in the biz.
Best Broasted Chicken and Chicken Strips around, the Broasted Potatoes are also awesome. The Owner is a cool Guy, his personality is great and he appreciates your business.
Went in for a piece of chicken for lunch and was told to go somewhere else he was too busy. He was doing nothing. He saw a Jesus plate on my car and had some not so nice things to say about that. A very rude person. Doesn't deserve any business.
