Bob Jo's is a fantastic place. Grew up going here, one of few places I genuinely miss when I haven't been downriver. Again, for newcomers, it is cash only so plan accordingly. Dairy free options are becoming more available. Worth the trip!
My family has been coming to Bob Jo's since my Papa was a kid! We love the delicious frozen custard and all of the weekly special flavors. I've never had a bad expirence at Bob Jo's and I highly recommend it to everyone in the Downriver area ♡
Ice cream was very good. Sadly it’s a Cash only business, I would have left but I wasn’t paying. Tried one of there special flavors, Strawberry Marshmallow custard in a cone, it was actually pretty good.
Well I have always loved going to Bob Jo's for Frozen Custard and have been going there my whole life. My parents took me as a kid and I have done so with mine as well. And it's a regular tradition whenever my brother comes into town from California so we have been there almost everyday for the past week. This is the place that started it all with Frozen Custard in this area. All the others are "followers" as Bob Jo's lead the way. And we were not disappointed at all as they continue to serve a quality product. My brother got his usual Vanilla Custard and I indulged in a Chocolate Custard. Having just left the restaurant after lunch and both of us being full, we decided on a small cone for each of us. DELICIOUS!!! I urge everyone to, at least, try a Frozen Custard from this Michigan Icon. The kids will love ? it. They have ample parking available and are handicap accessible. Masks are optional at this time. Well worth the 30 minute drive to have my first Bob Jo's Custard experience..... the toasted coconut was absolutely delicious! I was born in Melvindale over 65 years ago, visit downriver quite a bit & had no idea this little treasure even existed! Will definitely be back.... ???
Best frozen Custard you will ever experience! I have literally been having it my whole life and I'm 56 ! My parents brought me here my whole childhood and I brought my children here and now we bring our grandchildren here ! It is a family tradition. The friendly service is great too ?
First time here won't be my last. First time eating frozen custard won't be my last. Super friendly staff, absolutely delicious custard. Biggest con is that I'm 45 and it took me this long to have frozen custard.
I've loved Bob Jo's since childhood!My 30 yr old son had his first ice cream cone there! I really enjoy all the different flavors of the week
2nd time I have received Custard instead of Yogurt.The staff try’s to double take the orders. One employee starts writing up the total cost while the other ducks into the window to Half hear my order. I asked for 3 frozen yogurts in cups. None were handed to me in cups on top of my order was wrong
Frozen Custard, what's not to love. They have an amazing selection of flavors but I can't personally account for anything outside the classic twist. My daughters love the fruit flavors though. The prices are good, not overly expensive. The lines can be long but they move well enough. They are a cash only business but I suspect this helps the lines move too.
