The waitress we had was awesome. Besides all the flies, the food was ok.My son loves eating at Village but I have a hard time due to the number of flies that's located inside the building.
My favorite late summer night spot. Cute outdoor seating. Old school family dinner feel. I'm always trying something different there but for the greedy (like me) let me just say bacon wrapped cheddar dog.
Prices went up amount of food went down. Paid 23.00 for hot dog kids meal got literally 15 fries in the same hot dog container and chicken salad was a Cold breast on a bed of lettuce. I know prices increased but the portions shouldn’t and the food definitely isn’t cooked with love.
Awesome weekend fun food. The "slaw dog" is my favorite but don't sleep on that boy from Chicago!!
Quality of service has gone way down. The food is good but they raised their prices and decrease the amount of food :( we waited for 23 minutes for our food through the DRIVE THROUGH. It was 10 minutes before we were even greeted at the window to take payment. I watched a table inside get their order taken and served before the server gave us our food. What’s the point of a drive through then? I think they forgot about us bc our food was lukewarm and soggy and our milkshakes were melted. Disappointing, if you forgot you should have offered a remake on at least the milkshakes ??
The food was hot and cooked to order, the line moved quickly and they even offered dine in. The facility was clean and the wait staff was nice. The had sauerkaut for my burger with was a pleasant delight. I was pleased with the food and selections. Not to mention they're open 24/7
Good but overpriced now presumably due to supply chain/inflation, but there are many many others who are not charging ~$5 for a side plate for fries with a meal. It's not like they're $5 fries. Go somewhere else and save money if you're looking for decent coney food. Good food and served well, just not for the current prices. I have no idea how my bill was as high as it was, I was kinda shocked.
My husband and I have been there three times and had a chipped water glass three times. So, if you don't mind the idea if possibly drinking glass shards and being overcharged for your food, they do a good job at making a Chicago hotdog. We won't be returning.
Service was great food was ok. The thing I didn’t like was how when I got up to the register to pay my bill with my debit card, the amount was different than what the bill was. I asked what was the extra charge. She said “we charge an extra $.04 cents per dollar when paying with a card. The waitress didn’t not inform us this before we sat down, nor is there a sign at the entrance. That’s double taxation. I will be making a formal complaint with the attorney general tomorrow. Either raise your prices or do a flat rate. They are basically taxing the public $0.10 which is .04 cents more than the legal tax rate for Michigan. No good!
