wonderful place to eat! I love that their menu gives you a description of each item that way you know what you're getting with it being a different cuisine. super delicious and filling!
Love their food! Staff is friendly and quick with orders. I’m addicted to the Mixed Grill with yellow rice, but have tried other items that are very tasty and filling as well! ???❤️
New authentic Egyptian Cuisine restaurant. Husband, wife, and even kids operation. Not the best location, but I am born and raised In Egypt and grew up eating the food they serve at this place. The Koshari is a must have. honestly, it better than some in Egypt. If you find yourself near the DTW airport, check this place out. You won’t regret it.
Great food, great atmosphere, great staff. I’m very very happy I drove the 45 minutes to come check them out. I’m traveling to Egypt in October and have tried for years to try the food but the closest authentic Egyptian restaurant was in New York. ??♂️I’m so happy to now have Egyptian food less than an hour away from me. Very very very delicious. I totally recommend to any and everyone who enjoys middle eastern food Or Mediterranean food it’s similar but much better in my opinion.
If you love to experience food from around the world than you really need to try this place. From the macaroni bechamel and the feteer sharki chicken shawarma to the koshari and the hawashi everything was very delicious and the host was very polite he even told us the best way to eat some of the dishes and how they make the bread for the feteer sharki it was like each dish had a story which was very interesting well worth the price you get your money worth expect to leave on a full stomach and come hungry. I will definitely be back for more dishes. Don't expect a quick pick up meal either if you have patience it's well worth it they put a lot of effort and love into each dish they make it's a culinary art.
2nd time I've gone in a week. First time I got the Mixed Grill, this time I got the Feeter Chicken Shawarma, both were excellent!
Went for lunch on a recommendation from a coworker that grew up in Egypt. We took the full tour. The rice & pasta based Koshari (national dish of Egypt) was certainly unique. If you like spice, use the chili oil to kick it up a bit. The doughy stuffed pizza-like Fateer Sharki (Chicken Shawarma version) was light and delicious and passed both the fresh test and the "cold-pizza" test (i.e. next day breakfast). And finally, the huge sandwich is the Hawawshi, featuring beef, onions, peppers, tomato, garlic, and a really nice spice/seasoning profile. That was my favorite of the trio. The Hawawshi would easily would feed four people, but came with fries and a pop as if it was meant for one. Bring your appetite.
The food was great. I definitely recommend this place to anyone who wants to eat authentic Egyptian food. Staff are friendly and professional. I’m glad i found this place. Will be going there again.
Food was great! I loves the Hawawshi, koshari and Sojok fteer. I recommend this place for authentic Egyptian food.
Excellent authentic koshary, coming from an Egyptian! Try it with the vinegar and chili for the full experience
