I have been eating here since I moved here 21 years ago. I love this place. However, lately the prices seem out of control and the food seems lacking. I ordered door dash and the house lo mein was over $20???? Insane. I also ordered my favorite dish that I can only eat from you because only you make it right, Szechuan Beef. However, my last order only had a few pieces of beef and was mostly bamboo, mushroom, and water chestnuts. Literally only a couple of pieces of meat. I was shocked. Not worth the price and the first time I had this problem with you. I hope this isn't a trend. Skimping on the meat and just filling the tray with veggies instead is so beneath you. You are amazing and shouldn't do these awful tactics. Please make sure each combo had meat, because mine was sad and not worth the money.
I've been eating here with my family since childhood. Wing Lauk was in our regular rotation of weeknight takeout places, we would order a generous amount looking forward to leftovers the next day. This was during 1995-2004.Sadly this not the food I remember. Aside from burnt and metallic the fried rice is flavorless. The egg foo young has an unpleasant, greasy texture and the gravy it was fully submerged (swimming) in is bland and visually unappealing (grey).I normally don't leave detracting reviews, but I sincerely hope the owner, who I remember being so friendly and polite, notices the consensus in recent negative feedback and rediscovers the passion and standards that once produced memorable, tasty Chinese food.
Spent 80 dollars on nothing. The food tasted like if somebody that never made food in there life tried to YouTube how to make a gourmet Chinese dinner from some guy that didn't have a tongue. Portion size for my plate was fine but the lobster was over cooked and basically felt like I threw a piece of a cars tire in my mouth. My guest spent 16 dollars on her food and got maybe 6oz of chicken and then 1lb of rice and vegetables. The egg rolls were layered with so much roll we needed to rip off a quarter inch of breading to get to the inside section of the roll, also very dry and over cooked. On top of all that the thing we were most excited for the crab rangoons were especially dry and crispy
I love the gluten free options and the fact that this place will seat us with a smile at 8pm when they close at 9pm.. Not only is the food amazing but the owner and all the staff is friendly and fast. The wonton soup used to be my favorite soup before I found out about my gluten intolerance. The egg drop and Chinese vegetable soups are also very good. Sweet and sour chicken gluten free and with gluten are both yummy options. I can even get gluten free friend rice. So good ?
Delicious food cooked here. Haven't had any issues. Wonderful service and workers are polite. The curry chicken and onion is my go-to dish.
They lost my original order. I reordered and waited 25 minutes. I asked if they gave me the cookies I ordered. They said yes, they are in the bag. I get home and they were not in the bag. The food was not good either. I am disappointed.
The best Chinese place I’ve been to in the state. Unless somewhere else has something special I want I will always choose here. The fried rice is perfect and I’m super picky about it. Take out this time but I have been inside since Covid and they’re super safe as it’s a family ran restaurant.
Update the manager called and apologized and said he will replace our meal. He was very kind and I respect that a lot. I haven’t order the replacement yet but I will soon. The worst carry out I have ever had. I have been a long time customer and I ordered carryout and was told 1.5 hour wait which was no big deal I arrived 1.5 hour and still had to wait another hour when we finally received my order the food was ice cold. The fried rice tasted like ash it was so burned.
Awesome service very kind and there food quality is amazing! If your looking for unique genuine chinese food this is the place
The most positive thing I can say about it is that it was gluten free and I didn't get sick. Other than that it was a complete disappointment. The two dishes I tried had the same gray, corn starch thickened sauce, but one was spicy. They were very much not supposed to be at all similar based in their menu description. The "fried rice" was soy sauce seasoned, that's it. There was no egg, green onion, onion, etc.. On top of all of that, it was incredibly expensive. We drove 30 minutes her because of the reviews. Needless to say I won't be coming back.
