I live in Charlotte, North Carolina, but every single time I'm in Detroit, I take the trip over to 9 Mile to visit this truly precious gem of a restaurant. On my last trip, we ate a lot of pizza: Buddy's, Jet's, and Sorrento's. Of the 3, Sorrento's was far and away the best.The pepperoni are crispy, small, and cupped with grease, sitting on top the coast to coast cheese. The sauce is fairly sweeter than Buddy's or Jet's, but in a way that brings the entire dish together. The crust is perfectly crispy on the edges, yet spongy underneath. This is the real deal. You're able to order slices, but go ahead and just order a pizza as a medium cost us like $11 - a true bargain for the quality and compared with Buddy's, the same size cost apx. $22.God I love this place. Best pizza on earth.
Best place to order some quick and delicious food! The pizza was great, the wings were great, the Calpine was so good I forgot to take a picture until I finished it. Needless to say this is definitely my new go to place, thank you very much!
Skip Domino's, this is my new pizza place of choice. I just moved to the area and found this gem. Their delivery is fast, prices are great, and food is hot and delicious. I love their chicken and sweet strawberry pie (it taste like a hot jelly doughnut) :) Even the customer service is great! I got a polite call verifying details of my order, and I appreciate the extra effort they put into fulfilling customers orders!
Sorrento's is our place. We order there once a week. So, writing this review is really hard, but after my experience with tonight, it may be the last time I order. I placed an online order, and was given an ETA of 45 minutes for my delivery. After 70 minutes, I called, and the guy that answered the phone was super rude, short and condescending. Note, it's been another 12 minutes, our food just got here and I live less than 2 miles away. The only thing that salvaged it, after almost an hour and half was how apologetic the driver was.

Great pizza, slices are better because they say there cooked in a brick oven? A regular pizza is cooked on a conveyor oven? Not sure the difference but I think they should cook all pizzas in the brick oven.

Ordered calzones tonight mine was supposed to be double steak onion and cheese only came with green pepper and mushroom… steak was skimpy… didn’t bother calling for another so just said forget it…. Disappointed I’ve always been a happy life long customer from ordering pizzas, walking in for slices, calzones etc. for many years in the summer time or drive thru after a night of drinkin…
Sorrento Pizza is simply the best. There's a reason it has been around so long. Everything you get there is fantastic. Staff is great.
