I've been coming to Soon Lee for 15 years since I was in high school, it was amazing and perfectly priced then and the owner, the woman whose name I've never learned, was so nice and friendly and just a genuine pleasure every time we went in. I recently moved back and everything is better than I remember. Their egg rolls are top tier - exactly what you think of when you want an egg roll. Really, that's true of everything on the menu. There are real vegetables in every single dish, not on the side and not just broccoli. Just expect an extra wait time and be kind because it's clearly just the owner and maybe one other person in the back running the whole restaurant and they're just amazing. Soon Lee is literally what you want from a Chinese place.
I grew up as a teen down the street from this, but not having my own money young never tried it. This is ran by one person doing it all in my opinion she could run circles around 20 year olds. BF said that it was more Cantonese styled (not really sure). Left overs were like all good left overs and better the next day. Owners very friendly and deeply cares about customer service. If you enjoy her food please tip this woman she's working very hard.Moved back to the warren area near here glad we gave it a try! Money well spent!Servings are generous and priced well.
First time trying this place! I ordered the sweet and sour chicken combo( comes with fried rice and egg roll). Food is pretty good, I’d only suggest them putting the sauce on the side because it is clearly drenched in sauce . The egg roll was okay. And the sweet and sour taste more like orange chicken. But The lady at the front wasss very niceeee!!!
This is the worst food !. 23.00 dollars and the garbage enjoyed it. The sweet and sour sauce tasted like paste. The crab ragoon was drenched in geese and the suace was some kind of sh!+.The chicken rice was dry and not very tasty. The only thing i can say is Do Not Eat Here. I wish i went to kim toa on 10 mile. Never again will i eat this garbage.
I have tried a lot of Chinese restaurants. But Soon Lee has the best overall. They are also very polite in their business manners.
Food is always good and great prices. The owner has been here for years. She is always so cheerful and friendly.
Friendly service but sweet and sour chicken typically comes w sweet and sour sauce on the side… this was definitely nondescript sauce and of course the chicken was drowning in it!! The chicken would otherwise be delicious, I could tell. Egg rolls again, very very bland and dry. Now the wonton soup was slapping good. I love the broth and then the veggies in the soup give it a boost not too salty not too watery. So if they get them egg rolls together it’d be a win! Oh that mystery sauce on side too. With sweet and Sour chicken it’s just the rules. IMO
I absolutely love this place the sesame chicken, egg foo young, and almond chicken? very delicious and fresh. Oh! I can't forget about the chicken fried rice it's sooo good.
Ive been going here for years... Best Chinese food!
This is the best chines restaurant I've ever been to.And the beautiful owner is a wonderful woman.
