For me this is a dive bar with a decent kitchen. No updates to interior, out of date booths. Not what it used to be.
Our waitress was so kind and the staff were very helpful as a team! And I can't forget to cook because the food was very good. The portions were enough that I took some home. It's a nice restaurant bar sit down atmosphere to enjoy time with your friends family and loved ones.
Decided to stop in for some food and a couple beers in remembrance of my father on the 15th anniversary of his passing. Him & my mom used to come here when they were younger, so I wanted to try it out for myself! I was very pleasantly surprised, it definitrly gave me a "old school dad bar" type of vibe which I loved & was exactly what I was looking for. the bartender Patty(I think?) was working on her birthday and provided lovely, caring service & was funny and attentive making sure everything was alright.I ordered fish and chips (something my father got there often) it was some of the BEST fish & chips I've ever had, plus the cabbage soup that came with was delicious, too!!! The beers were cold, the food was delicious, and the prices are shockingly cheap- all around one of the best experiences I've had trying a new bar :) I'm really glad it was one of my Dad's favorites, it made a really hard day be filled with some pleasant memories of a place he used to go to. I will definitely be coming back!
I just stopped in a random spot and was surprised. The food was pretty decent, and Mary, the waitress, is cute and probably been there since the establishment opened.

Korey or however you spell it is the rudest bartender i have EVER met in my 48 years of life it is a shame because the SHANTIE Is a decent corner bar with decent food but the worst bartender EVER ! Update : 2 months later .. Thank you Shantie for dismissing her from your employment ... Already much better
