Sometimes prices feel a bit high on some menu items, but the food is always good!

The strawberry cheesecake stuffed French toast was amazing! A little disappointed in the bacon though, it looked and tasted like microwaveable bacon.

First time here. I ordered the $7 morning special. For that $7, I received a 3 egg omelet, 2 pieces of toast and a full regular bowl of grits. I emphasize (full regular bowl) because every breakfast place I've ordered from gives you a finger bowl of grits. Even when I order it on the side, I get about 4 bites for $3 at every restaurant! Not here! I had plenty. The omelet had plenty of bacon. Not like most restaurants that crumble up about 2 strips. I'll be going here for breakfast from now on!

Dined in the staff was fast friendly and attentive…the French toast was delicious ???

Great tasting food served in a friendly atmosphere. Never a wait here, food is fast and fresh priced very fairly. The vibe is family friendly, definitely worth the visit if you're in the neighborhood!

So, having lived in the area, I have hit up most of the joints but had never quite made a stop off to Louie's. It was recommended to me recently and I decided to give it a try. Went with what I'd consider a fairly basic offering: Split Pea soup, half a pastrami on onion and fries. In terms of ambiance and service, this is a 4 star diner. You will be treated well. The staff is knowledgeable (or will get the info you need), polite, friendly and attentive. The restaurant is clean, well tended, tables are bussed in a timely fashion even during the lunch rushes. Seating is a little packed, but what diner isn't?In terms of cost, it's "in range" for this type of restaurant, but you're going to find the portions are a little on the heavy side, and the prices are about 10% over what you'd expect. If you want are used to what most diners call a 'bowl' of soup, ask for a cup and trust me on that. You will get a slightly small bowl serving. Ask for a bowl, and you'll get a soup portion that is nearly a meal. Portions match the price, but they were larger than expected. In terms of caliber, I must apologize to the cooks but I am learning that I am a "Martins man" when it comes to the corned beef and pastrami in the area. The pastrami was a bit on the fatty side. The split pea soup could have used a solid helping of pepper to give it more kick right out of the gate. The fries... actually those were excellent. I don't come to a diner for the fries, but I appreciate good, freshly cut, potatoe-y fries as much as the next diner lover, and they have GOOD fries here. If you were to ask me to weigh in on which restaurant I prefer? The next time I want a Roast Beef and Pastrami, I'll be at Martins, where I know the meat is cooked the way I like it. However, there is a good reason that I sat down to see a loyal customer base filling the seating area in the lunch hour. The pastrami isn't bad. I'm just very ... picky about my corned beef in the end.All in all? You will not go wrong to come here. The menu is simple and the fare is what you expect. Come for a corned beef, and you shall have it, and the service with a smile.

Good breakfast, prices seem a bit high but that’s life

The dine in service was great. My skillet was ok. I live very close to the Louie's on Harper. I ENJOY the breakfast alot better at that location. (Preference)

They are the nicest people and they really enjoy serving us. Food was excellent and the service was too.

Had a nice time with friends here! The staff are soo nice and very attentive to our specific requests. I needed a specific salad and they not only nailed it but it was amazingly fresh! I’ll be coming back here on a regular. Thanks for the invite Bob
