A friend of mine and I ordered the 2 piece Fish & Chips but with a almost done baked potato and as I cut into my Fried Cod Fish Dinner the Batter was hardly done on the inside but ok on the outside both Fish dinners were hardly deep fried , Sent both dinners back and it was greasy the grease was oozing out , I have going to the Restaurant since I was 10 years old . Never will eat at this place ever ever again and let my friends know not to eat here .
Went for the 2nd time to meet friends. The first time I wasn't impressed. Yesterday confirmed that. Ordered the pork chops. I'm usually very wary of ordering chops but asked the waitress how they were and she said very good. The breading was hard and crusty, and very dark. Some burn spots. The chops were VERY thin and dry. So overcooked. Perhaps if they weren't paper thin. The worst I've ever had. The waitress was nice enough about it and said I she could send them back, but I never send food back. Service was good. Table bread was warm and delicious. I really wanted to give this place a 2nd chance. Sorry to say I won't give them another try.
This was the first time I went here, this place is great. It was quite busy I took my daughter to dinner, we got seated rather fast especially considering the crowd, they got us drinks immediately and they were very on top of everything even though it was slammed in there.I ordered breaded pork chops and my daughter got chicken scallopini we both liked our meals. The appetizers were some standard fried stuff we got mozz sticks and breaded mushrooms, came out hot and fresh. Soups were good too. The menu prices arent bad at all either, this place was surprisingly good to me, 5 ⭐️ all day! If I could give 6 I would, we will definitely be returning.
I have not had the pleasure of dining in but have ordered carryout/delivery 5 times now. Let me say that the food is awesome! I have never tasted lasagna as good in my life. The spaghetti & meatballs was excellent as well as the pizza. Everything is fresh and hot....packed well. Generous portions at very reasonable prices. I cant wait to be able to dine in. I highly recommend to all my family and friends! Thanks Firenze!
Great Family restaurant. A local staple. Their Pizza is excellent!
I had not been to Firenze's in a very long time because of covid and a crippling accident I had a few years ago. I went there planning to get their spare ribs which were always excellent. Plans for that changed after seeing the menu. The ribs which used to be practically a daily special were now the most expensive item on the menu! A half slab dinner for 23 bucks was too much for me. I ended up having the fish and chips dinner instead and my dining companion had the lasagne. Dinner came with soup, salad or cole slaw to start. We both opted for soup. I chose the chicken noodle which has always been a favorite. I was surprised to see that instead of the cup of soup you used to get that you now get a good sized bowl. The soup was practically a meal in and of itself, especially when paied with their delicious warm garlicy rolls. The soup had a nice rich broth, a few carrots and one lone small piece of chicken. The noodles are ditalini pasta which I love and part of what makes their soup so good. A few more veggies and pieces of chicken would make this soup 5 stars. My partner said her clam chowder was very good and had plenty of tender clams. My dinner came with 3 pieces of battered deep fried cod and a generous portion of fries. The fish was hot, the batter crispy and not greasy. Some parts of the fish were a little over battered, but the batter was tasty so I did not mind. The tartar sauce was nice and thick and not thinned out like you get and many places. It was chunky and flavorful. My friends lasagne was a very generous portion. It looked well sauced, topped with a generous amount of cheese and it looked fresh like it had been cut from the pan and not cut earlier then reheated like some places where the edges look dried out. There are many more Italian dishes on the menu than there used to be. Some old favorites are missing like the baked orange roughy fish and the prime rib on Saturdays and the prices were a big surprise as well but that is to be expected after a many year absence. Overall, we enjoyed it and will go back again. Two more things, both our beverages were free since we are seniors (coffee, tea hot or iced and soft drinks, bar drinks not included) and they have a diner rewards program that we both signed up for.
Food was good. Cod fish was on the greasy side, I think it's because their grease isn't hot enough.
I used to come here all the time with my Dad when he was still alive. Then I kind of forgot about Firenze's, until somebody talked about it on "I grew up in Warren." I decided to give it a try again, and have been going ever since! The fish and chips, pizza, veal parm, liver and onions, eggplant parm, mushroom soup, antipasta salad, and fresh bread are made with exceptional quality and all fresh ingredients! Best of all, all the staff treats you like Family! You can tell the employees are treated well because they are always smiling. That is important to me, too. Firenze's is Warren's little hidden GEM!
Wonderful place, great nice people, food is delicious, homemade mushroom soup is out of this world and the cannolis are to die for. Everyone should try this place you will go back. The portions are huge to.
