Sorry I ate before I even thought to take a picture. But it was DELICIOUS.I had their signature Detroit tacos, some honey fried nachos. I'm probably seeing it wrong but they were delicious I highly recommend them.The staff was very friendly and welcoming.I had no idea this place existed and I will be back.
A casual taco joint that offers a variety of Mexican inspired food such as street tacos and wet burritos. Friendly and fast service - I recommend it when your brain thinks “tacos!”
Overpriced, poor quality "Mexican" food. you can get similar quality at most fast food restaurants. Four of our guys got lunch here yesterday, three of them got items with pinto beans in them and all three of us got diarrhea and massive heart burn. The dude who got the chicken quesadilla escaped with his stomach undamaged.I will strongly recommend you find another place ANY other place to eat!Besides the stomach distress, the food was very plain, and basic. The most flavorful part of my Chicken nachos was the packets of cholula sauce.

Went there last night for dinner. We ordered a taco dinner and a bowl of soup. It was $20. A bit pricey. The dinner was mediocre at best and the portions were extremely tiny. Maybe 2 tablespoons of bean and rice at the most. Barely filled half the container. The worst part of the meal was after we ordered and received our food. The young kid behind the counter took his mask off and it's and it was waving it around for 5 minutes straight. It looked like he was swatting imaginary flies, right over the food table. My wife was so grossed out by that she couldn't finish her meal. On a positive note the place looks fantastic, the murals are amazing , and the soup was good.
The chicken smashwrap with hot salsa is my go to. Its got a good kick to it and great flavor at the same time. Highly recommend giving this place a try.
I know they were doing a soft opening tonight but you all killed it!!! Food is great, service was fast. So glad to have a good taco place close to home! Good luck to you guys.
It's okay. The shredded chicken street tacos are lacking flavor. The chicken is bland, very wet and it soaks the flour shell. The bean and rice burrito was good. The chicken bowl was average. Chips and salsa don't come with the meal like most Mexican restaurants. It's expensive for what you get. Nothing comes with a side such as beans and rice that other restaurants give you for the price they are charging. 3 stars is based on the food only. The staff is kind and efficient and they deserve 5 stars for service.
My wife & I came in today for our first meal at Detroit Taco Company & it was fantastic. The hospitality, the food, & the overall atmosphere were top notch. We live in the area & were excited for this new opportunity to open its doors. We have seen many places come & go in the area & we both agreed tonight after leaving that Detroit Taco Company is here to stay. I encourage everyone who reads this to give it a try! It's new to the area. The employees are still learning their roles. Be patient. Be kind. Enjoy the food! We will be back for more!
Food is good, no doubt in that.Portion size on the other hand is not good, I got three street tacos for around $8 and each taco was the size of a small red bull can, actually could have been smaller. For the price it's not worth it based on portion size, I can go to a nearby taco truck and get three tacos, 3x the size, with salsa, consumé and a drink for only $3 more.Hopefully they fix the portion size because where they are located is a cursed place where no restaurant that ever goes in there lasts, hoping to see them change that.
