Every area has its icons and this is one for Detroit. The pizza is a rectangle and thick, though not Chicago thick. The sauce is well seasoned and the crust is crispy. This is a really good pizza. 2 of the largest pizzas fed 6 people and was around $50.00. It’s a local classic and must be tried if in the Detroit area. Not life changing but really good local pizza and definitely a local favorite.
I can promise i will not be back. Order the chicken parm and not only did i have have to wait 30 mins not the problem however it is a problem when I was told a time and I wait extra get there and it's still not done just to get back to work open my food and see it is burnt and tasteless. So here goes nothing since I don't have much of a choice at the moment..at least the spaghetti is tolerable.

My mother used to bring Buddy’s Pizza home every other Friday and it was great! The taste was always similar to Shield’s Pizza and I absolutely loved it! It seems now after all these years Buddy’s has its own taste and it’s great! The appetizers were wonderful and fresh! After all these years I am still a fan! Buddy’s does pizza right!
We come here quite a bit. We got pizzas from Them during the lockdown and now are back to in person dining. The pizza at the warren location is always excellent. I’m not a huge fan of the new menu that was installed after they were bought out by the restaurant conglomerate - but the quality is still there so I guess that is all that matters.
We decided to try and order carry out since Louie's pizza is now closed during the week. I wanted a square with lots of yummy cheese. We actually ordered two large square cheese and Pepperoni. The crust was so rock hard on bottom and sides we didnt eat in fear of cracking a tooth. The THIN layer of cheese was like an extension of the Pizza dough. It was hard and you couldn't even pull it away from the dough it was that thin. Definitely not worth $18. each pizza. So disappointed. Will never order from here again. ?
