If you have read any of my reviews you know that I either love it or not. This is a ?! The food was delicious; Hot off the stove and full of seafood! I ordered the mixed seafood Pad Thai and was not disappointed! I usually get medium spicy but played it safe and asked for spices on the side. WORTH! IT! When I'm in Madison Heights and want Thai-- AAROYD THAI is where I will go!
Restaurant upped their prices which I understand working in a restaurant myself, but they did not updated their menu so customers are not aware of the price change until pickup. A few dollars is fine but $17 for a drunken noodle?? And then I picked up and the food was TERRIBLE. The Rangoons were cold and soggy and the noodles tasted like syrup they were so sweet. They have a sign when you go to pay that says "no refunds, all sales final" and no wonder, they know their food is disgusting and refuse to take responsibility for it. Never again, if you want good Thai food at a more affordable price, I recommend Sunrise Thai at 12 and John R. Much better quality and price.
I passed by this place many times to go elsewhere. That was a mistake. This is really good Thai food. And now my GO TO place.
Food is tasty. No dine in however. Drove 6miles for the dine-in experience only to know that they are not having dine-in anymore, as google said they have dine in. Prepared to get a take out, I requested for no meat option in my food and reiterated it after payment to which the staff responded "you asked for tofu you will get tofu" it sounded meaner than it reads. Staff did not show hospitality or consideration. They offered for me to eat there from the to go container, however turned off the lights on the other half of the place, kind of as a sign to have me change my mind of being there. I guess it worked, I ended up driving back and eating at my place in peace.
Good tasting Thai food. Available seating very nice and courteous staff.
I am very particular with my Thai food. I really only like 2 places in Metro Detroit and I’ve tried a ton of them. Most don’t impress me. I tried Aaroyd for the first time a few months ago. I was honestly blown away. The flavor was great and the spice level was perfect. I know some people like their Thai at absolute nuclear heat but I prefer accurate levels. If you want hot or scorcher than order it that way but if you want medium, it should be a true medium. They nailed it! I’ve been back 3 or 4 times since the first visit and have tried various dishes from noodles, fried rice, stir fry, and curry . I was impressed with all of them.
Best thai place around! A bit more expensive than the others but worth the price.
Very yummy food. Also halal.
Aaroyd was recommended by someone at work so I thought I would give it a try. I live in Royal Oak so it isn't too far from me. I usually just order PadThai the first time I try a new Thai restaurant and this was one of the best PadThai I have eaten. The medium spice was perfect and the flavors were outstanding. The portion was also very good. There are other highly rated Thai restaurants closer to me but they aren't nearly as good. This will be my go to Thai restaurant going forward. I can't wait to try out other items on their menu. I was told they also just opened sit down service.
The food is prepared just right, the pricing is in linewith all othersMichael Smith
