I have not been to this restaurant in more than 15 years. My daughter graduated from high school and picked this place for dinner after graduation. We had a party of 6 people and ordered a bunch of different things to share. There was a lot of food and we had to take some home. Our favorites were Szechwan Crispy Beef, Mon Jin Lau Fried Rice, Singapore Noodles and Chili Pepper Calamari. I’m glad I made a reservation because it was crowded. I recommend this place and we will be back again soon to try some different items.
This place was amazing!Tasty loaded spring rolls and a very savory and multi layer flavored stuffed eggplant appetizer..Udon dish had lots of fresh veggies.The atmosphere is very classy, low lit seating and atttactive paintings decorate the restaurant.Looking forward to trying more dishes here
It is true that you get what you pay for.While it is typically that some people mention about the price, I would say their customer service is absolutely phenomenal, from the security gentleman who noticed within 2 seconds that we want to leave, to the gentleman that keeps the door open. Well, one of the waitress could have done better, but it was a busy night.I have been here before and after pandemic. Always happy.*they don't have coverage charge for music night (Wednesday) so I recommend to generously spend on food/drink/tip*
Horrible horrible service last Wednesday so rude, unorganized, horrible valet experience, food was skimped and my sake was cold. Never again. And I use to love this place too which is sad. DO BETTER
I had the worst experience at mon jin lau. The valet was so rude and unhelpful I couldn’t believe it. I let it go and continue inside to enjoy my friends birthday. The host can’t find our reservation and then the other host walks in and screams the F word in front of all the customers.(off to a great start)It was not as good as it was in the past. The three pepper shrimp and scallops looked like they were dumped on my plate and I only got one scallop. Then I went to leave and the valet boy was so incredibly rude to me and did not help me whatsoever, he tossed me my keys and told me I could go find my own car!!! I ended up having to call my boyfriend to come help me find it and take me home. I’ve never experienced such unprofessional behavior in my life!!!
I had never been here before but was glad I stopped in today! The whole staff was so friendly and helpful, and our server took such great care of us. The food was excellent. Amazing taste, presentation, and was worth the price. I recommend getting the calamari as it was so delicious! I also love how a manager(I'm assuming) was watching, making sure things went smoothly, without seeming to be overbearing to the rest of the staff. We will definitely be back
The food is the best and service, it's just very hard to find a time that they aren't extremely busy. We walked out because we were put in the middle of a room full of peoplel I couldn't here myself think let alone order. I can't relax and eat in that environment. I did have a good experience the first time, we were put in a more private area. I love this place I know that's why it's so busy so if you like being crowded in and don't mind a loud restaurant your good.
Great food, decent prices, a bit tucked in for the location. Will definitely be back. Very upscale with an area in back for bar and music.
