Regular place me and my husband go to for a filling, delicious meal on the weekends. Love the hospitality and food! Such a cute restaurant inside. Just like how I remembered the food in Egypt when I visited! Highly recommend!

As an Egyptian I can absolutely confirm the food at Lolo is some of the most delicious and authentic Egyptian food I’ve had in the US (don’t tell my mom).A highlight of the menu is the koshary which is a vegetarian dish of pasta, rice, lentils, and chickpeas topped with fried onions. The order includes small condiment cups of the exact same spicy tomato sauce and vinegar garlic sauce you’d find at a koshary stall in Egypt. Most other places do not include these sauces (especially the دقة) or try to replace them which results in a dry and disappointing dish. I was so happy to find that Lolo keeps the complete authentic recipe intact. I will absolutely make the 1.5 hour drive to Troy again to satisfy my koshary cravings.In addition to the food, the owner is so kind and creates such a welcoming atmosphere as soon as you enter. She takes care of everyone who walks in like she’s their mom. I even saw her offer to help someone take their order out to their car when they had a lot to carry. Truly a gem.
