Pretty great Lebanese food and really kind wait staff I came here with a friend who had very specific dietary restrictions and they were perfectly accommodating. Giving 4 stars because I found the tabbouleh a little dry, we ordered a few extra sliced lemons and squeezed them over it and it was perfect after that, also it was very loud.
Great food! Wait staff is just ok
So this place is actually really excellent. Great food, great people, great atmosphere! The only mistake of theirs is one I unfortunately see quite a few restaurants make. When ordering online they don't accept "special requests". I would understand this (so as to avoid complex requests as they might regularly be very busy) if they allowed basic substitutions (on whatever app or interface), but they don't. So if you don't like turnips or are allergic to some particular ingredient for example, you're simply out of luck. It's a bummer because I'd otherwise order from them all the time. My suggestion would be to either allow "special requests" or add options for basic modifications; like checking "no tomatoes" or "no pickles". However I don't think it's necessary to accodate everyone (though it's nice to try) and perhaps they have such an order load that they don't mind missing out on more.Anyway, I'm not going to mark them down because they really are a great place to go if you're wishing to dine out. However, I'm also not going to be ordering out from them.
UPDATE: This place is the worst! The last five times my friends and I have tried to go to the one in Troy we haven’t been able to eat. This includes yesterday when we showed up around 6 PM for dinner, online it says they close at 7:30 PM. The guy said “you know we close at 7 right?” Clear indicator they didn’t want to serve us. This is the same thing that has happened to us the four other times we’ve gone. It’s almost as if when they aren’t busy they just decide to close up whenever. My friends and I have all worked in restaurants and are very conscious of not showing up right before closing. We would have been in and out in 40 mins. I’ve have also gone with a friend of another nationality each time and I’m beginning to wonder if this is discrimination. Either way don’t support a business that doesn’t want to share their business within their open and close hours.
Great place, huge portions! They are usually busy and understaffed, but that's okay, common these days. The food was rather good. I got the chicken mushroom dish, can't remember the name exactly, and the sauce was just delicious. I've got an appetite on me, yet even I could not finish the plate and had to take the rest home for lunch the next day. Huge portions. And for the price, exactly 20 bucks a plate, that's pretty great.Nice place for a date or any occasion I suppose, I say that just cause the ambiance was perfect for my liking. I hate it when it's too bright in some places. Nor too dark. So they put some thought into that.Enjoy
Great place for vegetarian options - decent falafel ( can be much better) - go to house of falafel for better falafels. But overall, there bread, garlic butter sauce, Baba Ghanoush, hummus and Turkish coffee is FANTASTIC with ready good service.... Better your falafel and 5 stars for sure !!
I ordered a takeout on 12/17/21 it was a fairly large order and it was ready in about 25 minutes, I ordered a beef tray for 4 people, also Large Fatoush salad, hummus, baba ganoush, garlic dip, cheese sticks, French fries, and also we had house salad, Greek salad and lentil soup that came with the beef tray and I also ordered a dozen pita bread. The Good, the Salads, hummus, baba ganoush, cheese sticks and the garlic dip were all excellent as usual no complaints there. The Bad, the beef tray for 4 was not as good, I ordered the meat to be medium well, what I got was dry over cooked meat that was very hard and burned not a hint of red in it. The meat and chicken Shawarma shouldn’t be called shawarma, shawarma is usually on a spinner not cooked in a skillet with spices and it was also over cooked and burnt, also the bread we ordered wasn’t baked fresh it was either baked a day before or early in the morning and placed in plastic bagsMore details should be put into the food and it should be cooked fresh and not prepared ahead of time, since the order was ready in less the 25 minutes it leads me to believe the food was previously prepared and heated and rushed out. I paid a large amount of money for this order and it should have been as good and as fresh as if you are sitting inside the restaurant. Thank you
Their food is great. You can tell that the food is cooked with care and love. The people there are so nice. Parking was available as well. The place is really clean. The vegetable chicken soup is phenomenal.
First, it's very good food. But, if I request a 6:30pm pickup time, it's disappointing when they text 20 min early that the food is ready. They either didn't notice how I placed the order online, or didn't care to prepare it at the specified time. Be better la saj.
Had a birthday at the restaurant. Great food, bad service. Staff behavior felt frugal/cheap and quick.
