I am obsessed with this place. They have the best butter chicken in my opinion not spicy at all. They have a buffet during certain times and the buffet has so many options to choose from. They are very clean on the inside and the staff is so friendly.I would definitely recommend trying this spot out! And follow @7alalindetroit for more halal in Detroit food finds
My wife and I loved our first experience here.delicious carefully made food. we particularly enjoyed the music and our favorite dish was the spinach paneer. I've never tasted chicken biryani with as much flavor untill today. thank you to everyone at charminar biryani house for all your efforts!
Very nice waiters and staff, they were attentive and kind. The food however was subpar and lacked flavor. We came in and tried the lunch buffet and didn’t go back for a second round. My hope is that the takeout is better seasoned.
First time here, wanted the buffet but they 'close' that sometime before 2:30. Had to do the styrofoam carry-out (wouldn't let me eat in even though other people were eating at tables). Some of the dishes were great and others were barely warm. The buffet selection wasn't all that large.
Would consider going to another restaurant for the price. Lunch buffet is $15 + tax + tip = $19ish per person. If you take out the salad bar, and 3 choices of rice (white, briyani, rice pudding) the selection isn't much (vegetarian dishes, soups, naan bread, or chicken). They also dont change the selection other than the dessert (cheap rice pudding, cheap vermicelli kheer, or cheap carrot halwa, and not guulab jamun). I only go here because Ashoka half a mile away hasn't opened up their lunch buffet since COVID.Recommendation:-For $19 (if you include tax and tip), they need to do better. Theres a sushi lunch buffet with 3x the selection and decent sushi for the same price 15 minutes away.-The food on the buffet needs to kept hotter. Why is the food cold or lukewarm whenever i go.-Change the menu around weekly. Its the same cheap stuff whenever i go.-Stop serving mediocre desserts lke the rice pudding or the vermicelli kheer. Its really "mehh."
First time ordering after trying many other restaurants in the area, this is the only spot you need! Clean establishment, amenable staff, excellent variety of selection, and the freshness and quality that you can taste. Definitely made lifetime customers of myself and my wife. Thank you!!
I visited here twice on March 2022. I would not visit again and I would not recommend this place to my friends either.Cons:1) Very few buffet Items2) They are very slow (~ 30 mints) to refill basic items, and sometimes they don't even refill at all.3) Very congested space.Pros:Taste of the food is good - The only positive thing of this restaurant.
I come here multiple times a week and every time the food and service is stellar. The buffet price is extremely reasonable and the staff is helpful and responsive. The best place to go if you're looking for an Indian buffet in the Troy area.
Very disappointed! Had ordered many menu items for pickup and once I got home, found that fully half the items ordered were the wrong items. Even though I had clearly stated which items I wanted, the person who took the order clearly did not understand or pay attention to what I was requesting. I couldn't go back and complain in person because I live 65 miles away and just happened to be in town for some appointments. So now we are out minimum $40 and my husband (for whom all the food was ordered) is very upset. Generally in the past we have had excellent experiences here. So sad to see this drop in the quality of service.
Went for lunch buffet. Food taste was no good. The chicken was cooked but the masalas had raw smell and taste. Some dishes had too much oil and salt. Biryani was like white rice. No flavor at all. Waiter brought dirty dishes from other table and was organizing dirty dishes near my food / table when I was eating. Overall bad experience. Probably will not go again.
