Great job with a carryout! employees were friendly and helpful! Pizza and Greek salad was excellent!
I’ve heard good things-people enjoy your pizza. I would love to see vegan pizza options on your menu incorporating vegan cheese and vegan butter with many of the ingredients you already have on your menu. Hope to see that in the future. ??
Decided to try Alibi again after a bad experience about 10 years ago.. well..definitely won’t be back. Walked in at 6:15pm on a Sunday ( it was busy) the young man host took our name and told us about 10 minutes.. a half hour later our party of four got called back. We asked the hostess what happened she said that the other host said he had sat us already so we were forgotten.. as we sit at a booth my 10 year old sits in the corner and there is a BIG gap between the cushions of the bench and it is sat crooked. The waitress came over and explained that they move for cleaning purposes which I understand but someone could of got hurt. They then took us to a different booth that was clearly not cleaned.. there was food all over the seats. We left, the hostess did apologize but honestly we were just done. We totally understand they are short staffed.. etc.. seriously disappointed
Good service, old school feel even if decor is updated. Seems like it is more an institution than a place striving to do more and better. No real complaints, instead solid food at a decent price with good service. It's the kind of place you can take your grandmother, young children, or a group and everyone can find something they'll like. I would love to see them up their game on some basics - "Greek salad" feta black olives and red onion on iceberg lettuce with a slightly more garlicky Italian dressing, come on swap out iceberg for bib or romaine, and black olives for kalamata at the minimum. But again it's good for what it is.
Word on the street, the pizza is decent. They use fresh pepperoni and jalapeños at least. The woman wait of next to me told me before the Alibi was built, it used to be a pink house and it used to be closer to Rochester road. We were seated after 40 minutes. We were told it would be about 45-60 minutes. So lucky there were about 5-6 parties that were a no show. Definitely short staffed. No one has come to our table and it’s been over 7 minutes. Our waitress stopped by, apologized for the wait. We put on drink and food order at once. Our waitress is hustling around. Ordered the Greek salad or maybe the blue cheese harvest salad instead. Settled on the small Greek salad, 4 piece: fresh mushrooms, green peppers, anchovies, onions, peppercini, jalapeños and a 4 piece deluxe with added jalapeños. $51.30. Order was in my 7:37pm. Salad was out about 10 minutes later. The forks are super thin and cheap. The Greek salad isn’t too bad, more dressing and peppercini. The dressing is good, the more you get of it. I could eat a large of the stuff, would be even better with some mixed green or romaine too. The salad after some extra dressing wasn’t too bad. The peppercini, olives and beets make the Greek for me. The 4 piece pizzas are bigger this I had imagined. I wasn’t able to eat my whole pie. I picked up the last couple of slices. 2 slices and the salad would have been sufficient for me. The crust could be better, was too doughy and not chewy and slightly crunchy and the slice as a whole was rather doughy as well, but the dough flavor is good. I get why folks come her for the pizza, it’s good. I ate what I could. I am beyond stuffed. I could have eaten more salad than pizza. I can feel the dough swelling up as it settles. Kudos for the fresh ingredients. Crust and dough wasn’t our favorite. Greek salad was good. Service was good as well.
Pizza and appetizers excellent. Took my daughter here for her birthday dinner. We both enjoyed ourselves and the great food. Unfortunately we both got Covid.None of the staff wears masks and the tables were wiped down very clean nor the menus. We haven’t been anywhere else in a few weeks so we know we got it here. Went to red lobster two months ago and the staff all wore masks and sanitize the tables menus so shakers etc. after somebody left. I guess not everybody does this. Watch where I go next time. She was sick for a week, I was sick for six weeks and passed and my wife was sick for eight weeks. Won’t be back here for a long while!Just watch how they clean off everything when somebody leaves the table.
Is been a while since I had their pizza. The price on the Google maps is not correct. The prices on their website are correct. The pepperoni is tasty, the sausage is fennel goodness, the crust has a subtle sweetness. It works and much better than the chain pizza.
One of the absolute BEST pizzas in the Detroit area!!
Went on a Saturday at 4 30, the wait was about 30 minutes which we did not mind. We were warned ahead of time that they were short staffed so we were prepared for a wait. Julie was our server and she was wonderful, my husband and i enjoyed our meal, the atmosphere and the great service and good food.
Extremely disappointed with the disrespect at Alibis. I have personally been going here since a kid! Awesome great food, great service. However NOT today! Left work to get a pizza and salad. Upon picking it up and returning back. Pizza cold and Antipasto salad was nothing but hunks of lettuce and cheese 1 pepper.., no veggies at all… lol he told my salad is checked twice?? Seriously? Called to speak to with manager, WOW! KYLE Basically was saying that my complaint was not true, no way that could of happened! he got all worked up trying to over talk me then accusing me of trying to get upset with him! All I was trying to do was have my order corrected. I will discourage anyone that I know to not buy from This establishment. Definitely will not use them for parties at work. I asked to speak to his boss and all KYLE keep saying he’s 98 at home. I would not want KYLE to represent my establishment and deal with customers. What happened to the customer being right and making it right so that you don’t lose business.
