Outstanding service and food! I should haven taken pictures but here I am with belly full of harmony!Our server was wonderful, came back to check on us numerous times I never felt rushed and server was present! Haven’t had this kind of service in longtime (not local- Chicagoan?) especially after the pandemic with a shortage of workers.Try the walnut banana pancakes, there glorious!Stop by here while in TC.
What a great local spot. We came for breakfast on a Sunday morning and they were hopping. Very cute interior and friendly staff. The interior is a bit dated/worn but clean, so it feels like that comfy sweater you like to wrap up in and just chill. Lots of art on the wall looks like local scenes at beaches and around the bay. I had the Protein Breakfast (eggs and bacon) and it was very good. The sausage was excellent. They also allowed me to get a single pancake (normally 3) and it was great! Light and fluffy, great flavor. Maybe the best pancake I've had in a very long time. Oh, and the prices are incredible, such a great value. Normally, we come up in August but made a short trip this weekend. So glad we found this place so we can come back again this summer.
We visited the Traverse Bay Cafe back in November, looking for a great brunch restaurant where I could have a lunch sandwich while my husband enjoyed breakfast. This place did not disappoint! Once we were seated, we were greeted to great service and wonderful food. My husband spoke highly of the coffee, as well! Once food arrived, we enjoyed all of the breakfast food, as well as a delicious sandwich and fries! We'd highly recommend this restaurant to anyone living in or visiting Traverse City! A cozy but truly fantastic gem for breakfast or brunch!
The service was wonderful and our server was so kind. The food was absolutely delicious. They make their own bread in house. The coffee was also really good. Wonderful experience, can’t wait to go back.
Best Hardy Breakfast in Traverse city. Best cinnamon rolls i have ever had and every dish has a Cuban flair you can't find often. If you like caffeine you will love the Cuban coffee, which is a rich, bold but is much more flavorful than anything you will get at Starbucks. If you have breakfast in TC eat it here.
Small, quaint building that is very popular. Free parking next to and behind the building. Excellent service and our food was good.
The best breakfast I have had in a long long time! The Cuban coffee was so flavorful and delicious, the food was fantastic portions and deliciously flavored, and the staff was friendly and very attentive! Couldn’t recommend this place more!

We travel to Traverse City a few times a year and this place has the BEST pancakes and sausage gravy! The people are very kind and also accommodating to me with my intolerance for eggs. They made me a BLT without hesitation even though it was breakfast time. One of the best places we have been to up here. Highly recommend to check this place out.
The food is very good, but honestly the service has left a "bad taste in my mouth" after each visit. I've given this place 4 opportunities to change my mind in the past 2 months thinking that my poor customer experience was coincidental...I'm sad to say that it wasn't. I do understand that staffing shortages lean heavily on all businesses (especially small business owners), but a business's response in these trying times is what separates the good from the GREAT. I prefer not describe each negative experience here, but rather suggest the business invest in their staff and try to improve the atmosphere in the restaurant. It will be a good long while before I, or my family, return to this dining establishment. ?
