We actually planned to eat at a different restaurant on Front Street. But it was Sunday evening and a few restaurants were closed. We found this place towards the end of the strip. So glad we decided to keep walking! Upon entry, you order at the counter first then find a table. A server brings out your food to you. We ordered the papaya salad, brisket pho, and chicken wings. The salad was so refreshing! The wings were super crispy. The pho broth was very flavorful and it had lots of meat. Cool vibe and decor - bicycle hanging from the ceiling, bar that seats about 8, several table tops, chalk board hanging on brick walls... They donate a part of their proceeds to charity!

They have not disappointed us. We have taken many people here and everyone has enjoyed it. Great food, service, and love how they give back to others. Thank you for all you do!

Had beef pho. Salty. Excellent service. Pleasant environment. Ingredients were fresh and tasty. If it weren't for the saltiness, it would have been perfect.

The food is Absolutely Amazing!I ate here twice during a three day Vacay.I would have eaten at The Good Bowl all 3 days but they were closed on Tuesday.Best Eats in Traverse City, Michigan!!

Wife and I popped in based on recommendations from some friends and didn't regret it! They have incredible dishes with large portions and amazing twists to cocktails. Beer and wine were also available. A portion of the proceeds from their main dishes goes to charity as well!If you are looking for a lively, friendly atmosphere, great food, interesting (and good) cocktails, try this place out!Pictured, I ordered the beef Pho with mushroom stock and a spicy take on a Moscow mule. My wife ordered a sweet and savory brisket bowl that was to die for with a refreshing cucumber melon cocktail garnished with lychee.

We had pho and a stir fry and some. Grump rolls. Not authentic at all. The pho was soy broth and the noodles were thin and we are accustomed to the thick noodle for pho. The stir fry had little meat and heavy citrus taste. The drinks were good albeit small for price. Try the Bloody Mary!!

Very good pho; prefer when restaurants serve the sprouts, mint, scallions and jalapeños on the side however. We ordered two beef bowls, one without peppers but it still arrived with peppers. Owner, Soon, made a point of visiting tables and following up on each order. Donating to charity also plays a big part of their business. They donate $1 of every bowl to select organizations. Large portions, decent pricing and variety of options on the menu. Welcomed find on our visit to Traverse City.

What I like best about "The Good Bowl" is the cozy atmosphere and how the owners and staff advocate doing good in the world with charity. I felt so at home inside "The Good Bowl." As for the food, you order at the counter and you can either do a carry out or dine in and sit at one of the comfy tables. I had the vegetarian stir fry which was flavorful. There could have been a bit more tofu and veggies for the price. I was also expecting a more authentic flavor of sauce. Still for Northern Michigan I'm thankful that there's one Vietnamese restaurant in town that does a fantastic job of bringing a taste of Asia to the community. Enjoy your meal at "The Good Bow." The food here is fresh and healthy! The staff is great and I hear the cocktails here are out of this world.

I was not sure what to order but after a few helpful tips from the staff I had a great lunch

I have eaten from many Vietnamese restaurants, even some of the cheapest ones were more real and delicious, the tofu is way too salty, the pho isn’t served with side choices or extra lime, the egg rolls were bland and fishy, the egg roll sauce just tastes like rotten fish, I went home and threw up! Spend less money somewhere worth it!
