Wow. If you're looking for breakfast food don't look any further. I wish we would have found this place before our last day. I would have went here every morning. The sausage gravy was the best I've EVER had. My husband had the western omelet and it was so delicious and flavorful. The pancakes were light and fluffy. I will tell everyone about this place!

I was looking for a new restaurant in traverse City and found this one on trip advisor. We were not disappointed. My wife had a cheese burger with homemade sweet potato fries and I had the steak and shrimp. Both were prepared perfectly. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone wanting a great meal.

Visiting from out of town. Went one morning for breakfast. Place was busy. Typical diner food but tasty. TC cherry coke and cherry lemonade were very good.

When I first walked in, I thought felt like the only visitor in a very "locals" restaurant. Instead, this little gem creates the homey feeling. Upon being seated, the special fresh water perch was pointed out as a favorite. It seriously felt like my Grandma was serving me Sunday dinner! Large portions, fresh cut sweet potato fries and delicious Cole slaw accompanied my perch. It was a tough decision considering all the comfort foods... meat loaf, pot roast, spaghetti. If you're looking for a home cooked meal, this is your spot!

A bit of a wait as cooks fell behind with orders on a busy friday but worth the wait for their perch special and grilled cheese combo for my wife. Excellent service, food and decent pricing considering how high everything is today. Would return. nNice setting and pleasant background music.

We stayed next door so this was a convenient choice for dinner. Food was typical diner fare. My daughter did the perch and I had a bacon cheeseburger. Both were okay. There are definitely better choices in Traverse City but since we didn’t want to drive into downtown this worked fine for us.

My biscuits and gravy came out a bit cold but the server was very happy to take it back and warm it up. My girlfriend was very happy with her meal. Mine was also very good! The customer service was great. This place is very underrated in my opinion. It can be a bit busy on the weekends but it’s worth the wait. The prices are very competitive as well. I would definitely recommend.

The subtitle of this restaurant being “comfort food” is accurate. The chorizo omelette was so hearty and fresh tasting with amazing salsa, I swore I’d never go anywhere else for breakfast in traverse city again. The massive cherry pancakes were not overly sweet, and absolutely delicious. Even the rye bread was thick and marbled, like fresh baked from a nearby bakery. THE best breakfast around if you like good, honest and satisfying food.

The food servings were very plentiful. Plus the food was delicious. The server was very friendly. This was a diner type atmosphere but the food was a step up from just diner type dishes. The place wasn’t exceptionally clean but the tables were you sat were regularly sanitized. One time use menus helped.

The weather outside was "frightful," but inside this restaurant we found friendly service, and terrific "homey" food. The chef's salad was large and delicious, and the waitress was friendly and attentive, even going so far as to make a fresh pot of coffee for us. We were served promptly, and the waitress was friendly and welcoming. This would be an excellent family destination, with an ample menu and very reasonable prices.
