First three times was excellent. Fourth time went to happy hour for their awesome barbecue pulled pork sandwiches. Brought cheeseburger instead , sent it back only to get half pulled pork and pork belly without saying a word. Felt disrespectful, left a good tip now it’s eating at me. Now we have no idea what we are going to get. Logical right?Previous visits were awesome people and food.
My wife and I dined here tonight, My Wife had Pappardelle pasta with smoked chicken, and I had the Pulled pork Ribs and Brisket With a side of smoked asparagus and mushroom gratin. Everything was outstanding but the stars of the show was the Brisket and pulled pork. The special sides were awesome also. They also have a great drink menu. Highly recommended!!!
This place was so delicious! My husband and I got the classic burger (medium rare) and the Cajun breaded white fish sandwich. Along with some salads. All so good! The waitress was very sweet and attentive! I’m a picky person and asked a lot of questions and she was so gracious! We got dessert too! Highly highly highly recommend! Thank you, Smoke and Porter!
The presentation was great, the atmosphere was acceptable and the food was good. I'd give a 5 star, but the price was a little much for me I felt. $12 for drumsticks/wings appetizer is a bit high I think. They were tasty, but I still feel like the price point doesn't match with the quality. Also don't sit in the patio, it's very temperamental to the outside temperature so it's either very hot or cold.
My wife and I both got the brisket dish. The Brisket had a great smoke ring, and flavor was on point; best of all it was juicy! Dish came with beans, and a nice potato salad that was very fresh. Both house made BBQ sauces we had were a perfect compliment to the dishes. And the waitress was a great help picking the right meal. Highly recommend stopping in if you like BBQ.
Food didn't wow me at all. meat was very well done but the sides were terrible. stop being booshy with your sides. stick to what bbq needs. comfort food that is hot and comforting. if there was a way to order just meat I would have done that instead.
Food was pretty good when we finally got it. I understand we came in with a very large party but we called ahead and were told that they could handle it. They could not. My table waited over 2 hours for the food to be delivered. Very little eye contact or recognition at all from the wait staff or manager. Even after I requested to speak to the manager on duty, there was no apology, no attempt to try to make anything better. The adults were ok with not having food, but we had several children that all had to sit for that long to get a grilled cheese or cheeseburger sliders, completely ridiculous. Still got charged 18% gratuity due to party size, no attempt to apologize or comp and portion of the meal, just nothing. I highly question whether the person I spoke to was actually a manager, if she was, she either hasn't been doing it very long or shouldn't be one. Will never return. Next time, if you can't handle a party that size, say so and save everyone the trouble.
If you are looking for delicious fried chicken, look no further. This is smoked fried chicken and just blew my mind with how good it was. I've been wanting to try this place for a while now and it did not disappoint. The pulled pork, and asparagus mushroom gratin are not to be missed...and sit in the front solarium thing if possible. Over priced for what you get. The beef brisket meal I had was Fatty and the portion were small. But the waitress was nice and helpful and the wine is good.
The brisket, chicken, ribs,pulled pork, prime rib and Brussels sprouts were honestly delicious! We are from Ohio and would come back just to eat here.
