Must be have had over a dozen meals here over the past several years. And so far each one was a five star gem. This time we had tempura sushi (excellent- crispy shrimp warm rice!), lettuce wrap (freshest lettuce possible to pair perfectly with the chicken), deep fried asparagus ( with the best mustard dip ever!). Plus excellent service. Our favorite place to dine in Traverse City. PS reservations highly recommended!

I know of no better restaurant than Red Ginger. The food is excellent with good variety. The sushi is outstanding. The service is above average. In the many times I have gone I have never had a problem. It is a truly wonderful dinning experience.

We had reservations on a Friday evening and were seated promptly at a booth that overlooked the action of the kitchen/service. It was a fun spot from which to enjoy an energetic restaurant. The calamari was exceptional and the lobster dynamite roll was very good as well. We thoroughly enjoyed our entrees - Thai Curry and Mandarin Orange Chicken. The service was excellent from start to finish. We left very full and realized we'll have to come back for other menu items we'd love to try!

Outstanding Asian fusion with superlative service. Pleasant surprise to find start to finish such amazing food. We had appetizers, sushi, and entrees and everyone loved pretty much anything and everything. Special call outs for sushi rolls including the seared salmon, sweet potato, and spicy tuna. And the orange chicken entree was perfect. Save up and come hungry because there's a LOT to explore and love.

Everything about this place is superb. From the moment we stepped in the host and servers were friendly, welcoming and professional! The cocktails were creative and tasty with no skimping on the alcohol. The dishes were scrumptious and well presented. We’ve visited this restaurant every visit to TC in the past several years and thought it was time I gave them a well deserved shout out . Never been disappointed after many visits. Quality in every way reigns here! Come for some of the best food you’ll find in this region.

This restaurant does wonderful in all aspects. Even when it was busy, the staff was calm, hard working and courteous. The kitchen was open concept and their flavors in the food were delicious. Tyler and Sarah behind the bar were so welcoming and provided excellent service. They have a really nice wine selection and cocktail list to choose from. I highly recommend the dragon wings appetizer!

Do not trust red ginger for any gluten free allergies. my gluten free relative has eaten here more than once and on several occasions after being told the dish was gluten free has gotten extremely ill to the point of almost having to go to the hospital. It is a testament to how Red Ginger runs their kitchen and does not take food allergies seriously.I contacted red ginger in regards to a full ingredients list for a dish and this is what I was told: "Unfortunately, if you’re looking for the full ingredients list that is proprietary information." and i was given this statement after having to request my question 3 times!after doing some research I also found out "Restaurants are not legally required to provide food allergy warnings for people who are allergic to ingredients in the food. This may come as a surprise to people with food allergies, who are used to purchasing food products at the supermarket that list major allergens, but for the most part, those who live with food allergies dine out at their own risk.""FDA Menu Labeling Final Rule: Food Labeling; Nutrition Labeling of Standard Menu Items in Restaurants and Similar Retail Food Establishments (published December 1, 2014) - Applies to restaurants and similar retail food establishments if they are part of a chain of 20 or more locations, doing business under the same name, offering for sale substantially the same menu items and offering for sale restaurant-type foods."Thus, red ginger is not breaking any rules, laws, or regulations by not taking peoples health or allergies seriously. Allergens beware at red ginger!

Great space, my wife and I ordered from the sushi menu and were generally impressed. Easily the best fish in Traverse.Sushi rice was significantly under, though, and it's strange to see a kitchen that did everything else so well fumble a fundamental like that.

Excellent Food, Amazing Service and Atmosphere. This place could be in LA or NYC no problem. Not sure why TC got so lucky to have such an amazing place to enjoy food that is out of the world!!

We’ve been coming here for the past decade and Red Ginger never disappoints. The quality of food as well as caliber of staff are excellent. We travel from Canada to traverse city just to go to this restaurant. It is that good. My only compliant is that they no longer are open for lunch and that the price of entrees has increased (although given the current a Covid climate that is understandable).
