Hostess was efficient in seating the 4 of us in a quiet booth. The server was exceptional too. She got are order in quickly and kept our drinks full.Great staff brings happy patrons.
Showed up after lunch run. Not many people .We were seated and After about 20 min. Waitress showed up and took our order. All 3 of us ordered never ending soup and salad. After a while the salad showed up with 3 olives and 3 peppers and 6 bread sticks. After quite a long time asked a lady who was not a waitress but worked there and asked if we could get our soup. Soup showed up not long after that and waitress took off with out a word and never came back. We paid at table and got out. Traverse CityHow would you feel?
Since the pandemic…this OG always has a wait, even when there are empty tables. I know…I know…staffing. The service is usually good once we can sit down. The food is not Italian. Obviously. It’s American food with Italian music playing. Like a typical American family, my kids love it and I (shamefully) love it too. It’s a predictable, carbohydrate-filled eatery with a bottomless salad to make you feel better about yourself.
My husband and I ordered chicken gnocchi soup we found the consistency was not the same as the last time we visited around Christmas we found this batch to be watery instead of thick and hearty. We also ordered chicken marsala the flavor was nice but the chicken was spongy. Overall our visit was pleasant we had a great server while seated at the bar. Olive garden has fun cocktails I ordered a sour apple sangria it was amazing!
I always love this location, but today was especially good. I went for a birthday dinner with my mom (celebrating both of our birthdays) and we had a wonderful meal. The salad and breadsticks were terrific, the tortellini was flawless, and the chicken was perfect. Our waiter was extremely attentive and handsome, the whole restaurant (including the bathroom) was extremely clean, and they were pretty busy, and it seemed that their waitstaff was handling it exceptionally well.
So upsetting. That was my experience today. A nice young man...I think his name was Curtis...was getting ready to go through a routine shift change at the bar. The way that I saw him treated by a young lady named Britney and a manager I think was named Justin, was absolutely unacceptable. I was a manager in the service industry for many many years, and the way that manager treated and spoke to Curtis was reprehensible. It was clear that Britney was training a new bartender, and I hope her behavior isn't representative of how they train their new staff.Shame on both of them for how they handled what was a seemingly harmless and easy to resolve issue. And kudos to Curtis for the way he maintained his composure and professionalism.
During our visit today our server Bobby was more than pleasant! I was unhappy with my food, which was my fault as I ordered something different then I thought I did. I was going to eat it but Bobby could tell I didn’t really want it and made the accommodation and brought me what I wanted instead. No complaint and no hesitation! One of the kindest servers I have ever had and made our experience so enjoyable!
the foods really good. we got this really cool server, bobby I think? he was soo nice. literally the best server we've ever had.good job, Bobby ?
Everyone was super nice. Just sat at the bar and had a few cocktails and breadsticks. Olive Garden food looks really good. I want that salad. Yum!
Food was great as always. Wanted to charge for every little thing (fettucini alfredo was super dry and they wanted to charge for a small thing of sauce. Then wanted to take our refill home and they charged $3.19 for a kid size to-go. Our server was great though. Bobby. He was amazing. For that reason I would consider this location again.
