Amazing veggie cuisine. Very upscale, fresh, local ingredients including all local wines. Staff was lovely, food was inventive and the atmosphere was casual and open.
I loved everything about when I read about in the Bon Appetit magazine. It’s in the middle of nowhere but everything about it feels right. I did expect it to be bigger based on what I read prior to visiting but that’s okay.Only minor complaint was that there wasn’t a lot of vegetarian dishes on the menu (or at least for the day I visited: a Saturday in June) and they don’t allow modifications to the dishes. I totally understand that everything on the plate is there for a reason and provides an element that makes the dish complete… but if that’s the case I would have liked to see more vegetarian options, especially from a farm.I believe establishments such as this have the platform and power to show their visitors that there are greener & climate-friendly ways to eat and it can be just as delicious and filling as eating animal products.
A concept and mission that I wish you could find more of, especially in northern Michigan. The space, ambiance, and menu are all carefully curated and it shows. But most importantly the food is just really really good. Sometimes places that look so promising don’t really execute on the actual dishes, but that’s not the case here. Every bite was memorable and the backdrop of the rolling hills of Leelanau county made it even better. We arrived around 8:15pm on a Tuesday evening and the wait for 2 was about half an hour to be seated outside (plenty of indoor seating was available). Once seated, service was quick and helpful. It would be a beautiful spot to visit any time, but coming during sunset was awesome.
This place is spectacular. Came here for dinner and got a table beer and mixed white wine for my wife. We did not wait long for a table. We ate outside on one of the picnic tables. The service is quick and food came out quickly. Started with the kale chips, I had the chicken tortini. My wife had the salad, and my son had the buttered noodles. We all loved our meal and the atmosphere. We are coming back again! Go go go here.
Loved the meal as well as the ambience. Seating inside or out and ample room for the kids to wander around. Walleye was fabulous and the Panzanella Salad was a hit with my wife. Nice wine selection and a wonderful limited beer selection that paired well with the meals. Highly recommended.
An absolute 10/10 in all categories - atmosphere, menu, staff. Everything was even better than I hoped for. The asparagus polenta with pickled radish and ginger was out of this world. The beans and broth was so simple yet full of good flavors. The farm play charcuterie board was as beautiful as it was delicious. We thoroughly enjoyed try a few different beers and I also tried the Drum with lemongrass and hemp (non-alcoholic). It was such a unique upgrade to a basic sparkling water. The indoor and outdoor seating is spacious and welcoming. The mini market within the restaurant has so many fun items - from snacks to small gifts and a produce section that also includes ready-to-go take home items perfect for a picnic or lunch. They make their own breads (amongst many other items) which were fantastic. The staff all also work on the farm a few hours a week, so they have hands-on knowledge of how each dish got to your table. THIS is the most authentic “farm to table” experience I’ve had. I cannot wait to come here again. You absolutely need to make a trip here. You will be so so glad you did.
This was our first time here and it was amazing. The food was delicious. The atmosphere is just beautiful. If you can catch the sunset I recommend it.
I love Farm Club - one of my favorite spots in TC. Some of the freshest food around, and awesome beers/drinks to boot. Great outdoor experience in the summer (or even when the weather is not so nice).Went here twice when I was in the area recently, had their amazing Pozole special on Thursday for dinner, and had weekend brunch as well. Both were incredible and will bring me back for more - I’m still thinking about the vegan pancakes!
It’s an odd place. Boy are we trying to be hip way up north. We were seated pretty quickly and a member of the waitstaff came up and discussed the menu and we decided on the kale salad as a starter to split as nothing appealed all that much especially after watching several dishes go past us. We were seated right across from the kitchen pass window so we saw effectively everything heading to the tables. While we had ordered the kale, we were given the Baby Bok Choy salad. We sorted this out after consulting the menu. Between having our order taken and being served the incorrect item, we had 3 other servers ask us if we had been helped already. Does this restaurant have no concept of tables, sections, or stations?Regardless, the wrong food was tasty and we were on our way.
This is definitely a place that deserves your support. Fresh, local ingredients, welcoming service and local brews. Logan was super kind and helpful during my experience here. I tried the smoked whitefish appetizer which was outstanding - especially on their homemade bread, yum! I think that it is really neat that all the staff also helps in various aspects of the farm. From planting to harvesting. Next time I am in Traverse City, I will for sure be back!
