My boyfriend and I went to a few wineries in the area and Chateau Grand Traverse was by far the best experience that we had while touring the area. The young man who had helped us was beyond nice and extremely knowledgably about the wine. Around the back of the building is a beautiful overlook of the lake and a lot of the vineyard which I also recommend walking over too. We are definitely coming back next time we are in the area. Would 100% recommend.
Very impressive. At first we were skeptical based on the location of it and the very young people tending to the wine tasting, but boy do they know their stuff! Very knowledgeable about wine, GREAT wine. This was definitely our top choice out of the three wineries we went to (chateau Chantal and 2 lads)
This is one of the only places if not the only place left that does actual wine tasting on Mission Point. Everywhere else is doing expensive wine "flights". At Grand Traverse, it is still only $10 to taste 5 wines AND you get to keep the glass (also the only place still doing this). They have great wines and still have some wine left of their 2016 Gamay Noir which is one of the most unique tasting wines I've had. They have friendly staff and a good ambiance. Overall a great place!
Great time at the Chateau. The inn is beautiful and amazing to stay at right on winery grounds 100 yds from the tasting room. Joe & Hannah were very knowledgeable and informative of the wines. Great place to stay and enjoy a weekend in Traverse City
Great wine. I prefer dry reds but my wife said the late harvest riesling was fantastic. Very friendly staff.

Do yourself a favor and stop at the Chateau Grand Traverse for a tasting. Gabe,our tasting expert,extremely knowledgeable and friendly, tip him well. So many delicious wines,our group from Chicago throughly enjoyed our visit. I recommend the Merlot Reserve or the Gamay Noir Reserve.
This was my first time doing a wine tasting and I would recommend this winery! Everyone was very knowledgeable and friendly. Their wines were amazing!
Good winery. Very big selection of wines. Staff was very helpfull and friendly. Has a cute gift shop. It costs $8.00 to taste 5 wines. Great experience learning about their wines and processes. Would consider visiting again.
Great selection of wines, tons of cherry flavors. They have dries, sweets, semi sweets, something for every pallet. Staff was very knowledgeable and friendly. I love the large selection of cute and unique items in the gift shop. Such a large selection of gifts for wine lovers.
