Ice cream was good.Bad part...I watches the young man, on this Friday May 6 2022, take chips for the nachos out of the container With his BARE HANDS.Give us nachos with COLD Cheese.He proceeded to grab the buns, BARE HANDS, and did use tongs for hot dog.Needless to say, we ate the hotdogs only, pitched the nachos, and enjoyed the ice cream.Never will we go here again
Pro tip: know what you wants before getting up to the counter. There were people waited 10 minutes or more inline and only while they are at the window they notice the haven’t look at the menu??♂️ don’t be that person.This is a classic TC institution, they been here forever serving summer treats from coney dogs, burgers, sloppy Joe’s to classic ice cream treats.
Lots of outdoor seating. Good portion and fairly priced. Wish they gave bigger straws though - my peanut butter shake was very thick and took forever to drink.
Last night My husband and I drove 20 miles to Bardon’s with our 2 dogs and son. It said on google they were closing at 10:00 but they closed suddenly at 9:42. We suspected the employees didn’t feel like working anymore for the day. They said they could have still served us if we chose soft serve, which we were happy to do, but once they saw more people arriving behind us (before 10 pm) they changed their mind and told us they actually “already shut all of their machines off”. Not great service or a good impression for us or the 10+ others who pulled up after us - especially while trying to support a cool local spot….You guys let a 9 year old boy down and plenty of other potential customers.
Great service. Great old fashion ice cream place. Super cute corner spot. We had to stop because of the nice line. Glad we did. Definitely worth it.
Well my experience was good until the kids on a Friday night started to close at 9:30. They had a break but at 9:40 3 families came and had disappointed children. I felt really bad for them but they would not open back up to serve them.
Wonderful! They have flavored soft serve as well as Moomers hard ice cream. Fast service. Very popular with the people.
I've been visiting Bardons wonder freeze, since I could toddle. There still as good know as when I was a babe 63yrs ago..

If you are visiting Traverse city or live here Barron’s is a must go to place they have an amazing staff and I’d like to point out Tyler and Paige they are extremely nice and friendly and lastly the chocolate shakes are the absolute best in Traverse city they are thick witch is how it like them.
