Service was very good, except for the failure to timely remove used dishes from the table. The croquetas were very good; however, the Al Pastor and Mejillones were not our favorites. The former was very salty and the latter was heavy in beef and dark chocolate flavor, which we didn't particularly like. The vodka martini was not great, possibly from using a cheap vermouth or too much of it. I wanted to like this place and everyone was very nice. Yet I doubt we'll return based on our disappointment with the cuisine.

Nothing like it in TC. Due to the server shortage we were waited on by one of the owners. We went with a group of friends and ordered and ate what felt like everything a plate at a time. Strongly suggest their charcuterie board, Spanish crème brûlée and a sangria. The white wine, lemon, strawberry and basil sangria was refreshing. One of our dining companions had been to Spain and said the new flavors and dishes were spot on.

The staff was friendly and attentive. The food was amazing. Presentation was picture perfect. We had the Manchego, Pork belly which was crisp on outside and melt in your mouth on the inside, Octopus was tender, and we finished it off with Bunelos which are made fresh when you order and come out warm rolled in powder sugar and sitting in a bed of Carmel. I would definitely recommend Bahia.

Fun place. Went on a March Friday night with friends. They offer their feature cocktails by the pitcher & have enough variety in dishes for our group of 6 to share. Service was good. Not happy that we had to pay for bread.

Kerry was an awesome waiter. Food was fantastic. We liked everything we ordered to share among the 5 of us. I was convinced that I would not like the octopus but it was delicious. Scallops, prawns, pork belly was also 5 stars. Overall 5 stars. Pleasantly suprised. Highly recommend.

While exploring downtown Traverse City with my family, we discovered this gem located on S Union St. As soon as we entered this restaurant, we were greeted immediately from staff with a smile. Once we were promptly seated, the server made us feel like family as she answered all of our questions about various dishes. We decided to order several items from the menu and dish it out family style. First, the salmon was delicious - I have a soft spot for Boursin and the chef absolutely nailed it! Second, lemon crusted cod, which makes my mouth water just thinking about it. Third, the mussels were magnificent with chorizo that complements this dish very well. The overall ambience was unique and it was incredibly clean. I've "settled" for dinner at several nearby restaurants in the past. Now, Bahia has earned repeat business from me and my family. Highly recommended! Let the good times roll!

We walked by on a Friday night and decided to try Bahia on a whim, it was excellent. Our waitress gave us three recommendations, we tried one of her recommendations, the scallops and they were amazing. We also had the pork belly and octopus, every bite was better than the last. Highly recommend trying Bahia, we can't wait to go back!!

We came on Sunday, easy parking & got a table without an issue. The drinks were great. Service was prompt & friendly. The ratatouille was the best dish we had, it was really good. We also had the Al Pastor, which was filling, but not full of flavor like we expected. We got the scallops at the recommendation of our waitress. They were a complete letdown. Small salad size scallops rather than what you expect (way below the quality of what I buy from Olesons and cook myself at home). We asked the waitress if they were usually served that way and she said no. They were out of a number items and she explained that rather take them off the menu, they subbed out jumbo scallops with those tiny ones. I’d recommend just taking them off the menu. I ate one and was done. My husband didn’t want to send them back, so he ate them. We’d come back for drinks & snacks, but wouldn’t invest in a dinner here again.

Let me begin by saying that the concept is great and the place is super cute! Enjoying small plates with your party is fun.. discussing the flavors and presentation. The prices and the portions do not add up. The pastor taco came with 2 tortillas $18.00, 4 prawns $18.00, the small slice Spanish omelet $14.00. The pastor tacos were so salty we were not able to eat, the only flavor I could taste on the prawns was garlic and butter (like shrimp scampi) and the omelet was ok.. Will give one more shot! And let you know

Bahia is a breath of fresh air to an otherwise long stagnant and, frankly, boring selection of food options downtown in years past. This was my first time home in 5 years and I was pleasantly surprised with the downtown food scene now. We came through for drinks just as Chelsea, the bartender, was about to close up. But she instead graciously welcomed us in to sit at her bar and made us fantastic cocktails and was super friendly and welcoming. She also played some dope hip-hop for us while we chatted with her. Having lived in Seattle for the last decade, excellent food options are in no short supply. So, while we did not have the opportunity to try the food that night, I can say that a quick survey of the menu surprised me. Many dishes that I would never expect to find in TC, they have literally brought to the table. I was very intrigued by the whole experience and can’t wait to visit home again and try everything on the menu. People of TC! Support your local businesses! Support Bahia. They’re great!!!
