We have been ordering from this Leo's on Telegraph in Taylor for years. The last several orders were not what we are used too. The potions have shrank considerably and the food is haphazardly prepared. Today: Hash browns that were supposed to be well done were white and greasy. Eggs (2) on the side of a French toast order were charged to me but missing from the order. The strawberry pancakes had a tiny thing of strawberry slices for 3 pancakes, instead of the strawberry compote they used to have and were not nearly enough. The grilled ham and cheese sandwich barely had any ham! On top ofall that, prices have increased! I guess I'm done ordering from here!
I don't know what's happened to this place, but a gyro used to be loaded with meat. I've been coming here since they opened and always had to eat some of the meat out of it first just to be able to pick it up and finish because it had so much gyro meat. Now they give you 4 strips of meat and charge the same price, then have the nerve to tell me that's how they've always made it...No. it's not. Poor excuse for being still gy.
The orders of fish and chips was slow to arrive. The fish portions have shrank by 33% to 50%. We actually had to ask for tartar sauce. It's odd how all the "Chips" are now french fries. One of the coffee creamers was spoiled (imagine how we found out). The newly offered saucer of creamers "from the refrigerator" came in a dirty saucer with the bottom creamer stuck in magic like fashion. It was adhered to the a mystery sticky substance (possibly jelly and/or ketchup splatters). Just enough to cause a Velcro effect. Is checking the saucers for cleanliness now a learned or long lost skill? The Allen Park Leo's Coney Island seems the benchmark of late.
Still trying to wrap my head around a busy Coney Island closing at 10pm on a Saturday night. They are busy there all the time and when they were opened 24hours they would be pretty steady at midnight every day of the week. Foods hit or miss it depends on the mood of the cooks. The girls working behind the counter are great. Always friendly and always quick to get the line down !
This is the second time I have visited including today… I ordered a Greek omelet, toast, and sausage.. a few hours later I had food poisoning in the worst way.. I barely could make it home .. I had to pull off to the side of the road to throw up and it was coming out the other end. I called them to let them know. They didn’t seem too concerned.. safe to say I won’t be back there.
I have been eating here for YEARS. Today, I wasn’t able to sit in and eat (I was on a time crunch). I opened my carry out box and there was a hair on the top of it and between two slices of toast there was a bug. I’m not sure if this was a gnat or something else but it was repulsive. Unfortunately, this will be my last order from this company.
Nowhere as good as it used to be. My hamburger meat on my Coney island was cold there was hardly any chili. The restaurant itself was not very clean the blinds next to the booth I was sitting in had food on them. Very disappointing for Leo's Coney Island
The food was really good. The service was great. I would stop in again
Took my grandson out for a late snack and we are never disappointed here! Waitresses we're super friendly and attentive. Place was clean food was great. Love me some Leo's
I love this restaurant. Our family goes here for family get togethers.
