Went for drive thru, the girl requested some time before taking the order. She was nice. Took around 5 minutes. Ordered the pink lemonade with shimmering powder just for the fancyness lol. It was an added cost.
I love Kuma boba! Their milk teas are amazing. It’s totally worth the drive out there. I love how they give you the bubble tea in a glass cup. They have a variety of milk teas, lemonades and slushies.Be sure to check them out and follow @7alalindetroit for more food spots especially Bubble tea!
Decor is minimalist, the reusable boba cup is very cute..but only useful if you live close enough to come back and actually reuse it. No disposable options and while I love eco-friendly most drinks being $7, with no bursting bubbles/popping pearls options and that they only have a single smaller size feels like a bit of a letdown in an area with bubble tea places everywhere. They were also out of boba when we were there (making more) so that would have been another 20 minute wait. Bobarista convinced us to get the Butterfly Lemonade which was a just really tart.
I had the banana milk tea with some spicy tots. The drink itself was good because it had real bananas blended into it, which was a surprise. The boba was fresh and had good texture. The spicy tots were well seasoned and delicious, although, I wished they were a little crispier. The tots were falling apart trying to pick them up.I will say that kuma is a bit pricier compared to other bubble tea places. Most likely due to the fresh ingredients and eco friendly cups (glass jars), but overall, I'd say it's a place worth checking out if you like bubble tea!
The first time I visited, I wasn't so thrilled with the beverage I received. I reached out, and received a prompt response which included a complementary beverage so I could try another offering. This time around I got the seasonal Cherry Blossom Milk Tea. My taste buds won't stop thanking me (: Great service, I'll definitely be back to try some of the other options!
I’m from NY & have tried many bubble tea places over the years… but none of them have even come close to Kuma! If you’re looking for authentic bubble tea & enjoy the taste of high quality tea, this is the place for you. The employees are super friendly & made sure to make the drink to my liking. The classic Kuma milk tea with 50% sweetness is my absolute favorite! I always make sure to make a few trips to Kuma whenever I visit Michigan but I wish there was a spot like this closer to me in NY. I was just there a few days ago & I already can’t wait to come back!! ?
My husband loved this place a lot. It not my taste but I am giving a fair rating because they did nothing wrong it just they use a flavoring I don’t like but the husband dose. They are also very friendly and nice. It still with a shot to try to see if you like it. I love their idea on how tj keep things green by having u bring the glass back.
There’s a reason my cupboard is filled with Kuma jars, and that reason is that this is the best boba place anywhere around! I haven’t gotten anything here I haven’t liked. Absolutely worth the price, especially since you get to keep the glass jars!
My kids love the boba in their drinks- I love the drinks without the boba. At Kuma you get to have any drink with or without. I LOVE it. Most others you get a small selection to choose without boba.Kuma Boba has the best tasting beverages, have the most knowledge about what your looking to order and although most of the employees are very young - I have yet to encounter one that was a great as the other! Be Aware‼️‼️ I got the spicy tots yesterday and it gave my entire family including I food poisoning. It ruined my experience. Especially since I’m from out of town and always come to visit here.
