Last night my friends and I came in for the first time. We sat at the bar and had a great experience. The bartenders Joe and Shannon were awesome, Joe's Margaritas are a perfect 10/10. The food was typical bar food, but better than most. He did convince us to get Gator and it was unique. Place seems to be a little outdated, but overall a great experience thanks to your awesome bar staff! keep up the great work!
Always a safe bet for a decent night out. Had my wife's birthday there on April 1st. Had one of THE best waitress I've ever had. Wish I could remember her name and I lost my receipt. But don't think twice about picking Gator Jake's. Plenty of TV's, decent beer selection, good food and great staff.
I came with a group of coworkers. When we walked in, we were greeted kindly and instructed to take our seats. We took a seat at the bar and placed our orders. The bartender/server was pleasant and helpful. The Cajun chicken salad was my choice. The seasoning was excellent! The salad as a whole was great. I also tried gator bites for the first time, and they were delicious! I will undoubtedly return. Gator Jakes, thank you!
GATOR bites were DRYED out and hardly was able to chew, ended up throwing them away, nachos were decent, I'll probably NEVER order food again, pop was somewhat flat... Management needs to pull this place together
Nachos were luke warm and everything seemed like it was from a can! Not to mention I had fries in my nachos and when I told Jessica the waitress she said, “yeah because we fry the nacho chips!” Okay… but fries should not be in my nachos! She offered no accommodation, so we will not return and her tip was $1 only because I’m nice!
It was super easy to order off of google. Food was ready in 16 minutes. Everything taste good, fries a bit over cooked.
Server Kelsey seemed to be an “experienced” waitress with her attitude. Food was disgusting, however all the other staff members were fantastic. Thus, this review has 3 stars and not one. But your workers reflect your business. Absolutely disrespectful waitress. The problem ended up with the wings they served.The wings were shown to multiple people when broken down, as showing mainly made up of just breading. When explained to the waitress, “hey sorry this is my first meal at 10:45pm, as you can see this is all breading covered with sauce.” She explained “the kitchen literally just closed” i said “okay” she replied with “yup okay” and walking away. Thus causing me to close my tab with her immediately and taking my business to the bar (petty? Yes.) but i want to be happy with where I’m being serviced. Mind you it was 35-42minutes in between each trip she made to our table. (We kept a timer going, petty? Yes. I think we can safely assume i am a petty individual.) Getting the drinks of other people at the table, wrong. Multiple times. But that’s just minor things to expect when going to a bar.i ordered a drink in under 14 seconds when walking up to the bar. I would assume a waitress would make a .001% attempt in satisfying her customer. She was tipped based on her quality which was $0, wings were still charged on the tab, even though only 3/8 wings were eaten. the wings were left.Tipping was never the issues, Kelsey, it was your service. For you to attempt to embarrass someone in front of their friends, is unprofessional, and at the end of the day, makes you look like a fool.Mind you the tab at the bar was $5 and a $10 was tipped. However, Kelsey decided to address the frustration she experienced in front of several tables, including a newly engaged couple we took out to celebrate, as our table was getting up to leave. Completely immature and unprofessional.Good luck to Gator Jake as a local bar. However the business will never prosper with employees like Kelsey.
Great place to go. Fun atmosphere. Friendly and fun wait staff and I have never had any bad food there. Definitely try the Cajun steak bites. 10/10
Come here quite often. Tag team waitressing is at play. Ordered gumbo x2. Had to specify make the soup hot. Based on previous encounters. Still we both got the gumbos luke warm. The soups had started to form a film, so obviously not the cooks fault. Also got a pizza which was ok. Toppings were plentiful. Crust needs work.Fish and chips included soup and choice of numerous options. Clam chowder was soup. Not a fan so took waitress up on gumbo option. Didn’t realize that was putting an extra $5 on my bill. From free soup to that. Fish was excellent. Fries were cold. Not the best experience. Like I said been here often. So I know this place. Just a bit downhill this visit.Ordered a bowl of gumbo to go. Im including picture. Is that a bowl?
On Saturday night I was in for dinner with a girlfriend. Our server was Hailey. Hailey was extremely friendly and gave us a wonderful experience. The manager, Joe came by our table 3-4 times our visit to check on us and make sure we were okay. I got the New Orleans shrimp which was amazing, and my friend ordered the Italian Sausage burger. We ordered sidecars and Joe made them, I don't know think the bartender knew how to. They were so good, definitely some of the best I've had. We will 100% be back. Thank you so much Hailey and Joe for a fantastic experience.
