Overall it was a nice experience for dinner. We did not have reservations and we had 6 people. We only waited for about 5 minutes and it was fairly busy. The menu is complete with all the traditional Italian fair including make your own with a nice variety of sauces. The veal dishes were good. They were fresh cutlets as the price would require. The soups were awesome, and the fresh vegetables were very tasty to me although some said they were a bit over peppered. The tiramisu and cannolies were both really good. The waitress was extremely efficient, friendly and attentive. I would give 5 stars, but I thought the prices were a little high, and the decor is very in need of a refresh.
This restaurant is just around the corner from me, and I don't know why it has taken me so long to have dinner here again. It has been years since my last visit. There were 3 of us and I got the Pollo Aldo which was excellent. I don't remember what the others had, but they enjoyed every bite. Service was excellent even though they were obviously short staffed. By the time we left around 6pm, there was a line out the door, so go early, and make a reservation. This place has been here for at least 20 yrs or more, and still a neighborhood favorite.
The food was great but the atmosphere was not welcoming. I walked in on mother's day with my Yeti filled up with ice water (I drink a ton of water for various reasons - medications I take, etc.) As I'm walking in to find my family who was already seated a women comes up behind me raising her voice at me as she yelled MA'AM several times. I didn't realize she was upset with me so it took me a minute to realize this was how I was being greeted into their establishment. After she curtly informed me there we NO OUTSIDE DRINK ALLOWED, I immediately took it outside and put it in the car. It ruined my whole experience. I'm sorry, but tone of voice conveys a lot. This woman needs a huge lesson in how to communicate to customers. I will never be back.
My family loves this restaurant. We celebrated my brother’s birthday here today and had a perfect meal. Our server was very attentive, the food was delicious and the atmosphere was nice and relaxing as we went right when they opened at 2. I highly recommend the chicken marsala. We come here often for special occasions and never leave disappointed.
Lovely ambiance and meal. Tasty Italian both foodie and kidlet approved. We got the bruschetta special, ravioli, and clams with fettuccine.Fresh bread upon seating with olive oil and pesto.Perfect level of music and lighting.Family friendly although a rambunctious kidlet may get the wiggles.
This is a neighborhood restaurant that lives up the you expectations of a relaxed and friendly environment. Then you are met with outstanding service and well made food, the flavors are subtle and lovely, the wine list perfect for the menu. We had such a delicious meal and a delightful evening. We will be back.
This places has AMAZING food and such good prices. You can tell this place is passionate about their food and everything is fresh. Their fresh baked bread is just fantastic. It beats all the italian restaurants by far
Food was excellent!! Warm rolls !!! We had very good perch and salmon !!! Fish was very tasty and fresh —no bad fish smell!! And Michigan cherry walnut salad was also great ! Staff was very friendly and food was served fairly quickly !! Prices are great for the large portion sizes !! Excellent cannoli!!! Definitely worth coming!!
This is a really nice restaurant particularly for a special occasion. You can dress casual while being serve a meal prepared and served in a more fine dining atmosphere. I have never been disappointed by me menu choice. The servers are outstanding in making your dinner a great experience. We especially love the half off wine bottle special on Fridays that makes it easy to add wine and make dinner special.
Recently moved here and it was the best Italian I've had in a while. Great atmosphere and amazing food and exceptional prices for what you get. Our waitress Sarah was outstanding and I will be joining her section again!
