The egg rolls are cabbage heavy. The gravy with the abc chicken is nice and light.
i ordered the Almond Chicken combo, fried rice and egg roll which got even better every time I order from them. I don't know if different batter used or something else? I gave them 4 star for steady improvement on the taste each time I ordered from them unlike the first time I ordered.
The food overall was okay what really distressed me was the fact that it was served on paper plates and or plastic only one dish came out in the traditional Chinese stand-up bowl nothing was covered to keep the heat in so everything got cold pretty quickly and it looked like it was one server to cover the whole floor
Best Chinese in the area HANDS DOWN. Everything is so flavorful and looks fresh and colorful. They dont serve flat-tasting "gray" fried rice like everyone else. They also offer a brown rice option instead of white, if you prefer. Their mini egg rolls are awesome and I've never seen anything like them offered anywhere else. Their chicken lettuce wraps are better than anywhere I've been and DEFINITELY give PF Changs a run for their money. I've tried other places and I regret it EVERY time.
Great food and service... Best egg rolls!!! I have learned from past experience not to order Almond Boneless Chicken anywhere in Macomb Co. because every restaurant I have seen (and ordered), only serves brown gravy with the dish.... Definitely don't understand that one? But overall, I WILL BE BACK❤
Beautiful place inside and outside. First time coming here. Food wasn't bad. For lunch it was $10.50 comes with the main dish, egg roll and soup. If you want tea you have to pay an extra $2. The meal doesn't come with a bread roll. ? the egg rolls are spring rolls and if you like that then this is for you. The sweet and sour chicken was good, but the sauce was ok. Everything is on plastic plates, bowls etc. Weird but ok. The waitress was kind, won't be going back. Preferred wongs garden better (their meals COME with a bread roll, tea, and is served with a regular egg roll && the price is $2 cheaper for lunch ?)
My GF and I went for lunch today and overall it was disappointing. I ordered Almond Boneless Chicken and she got Chicken with Pea Pods. We both had Won Ton soup and it was served in a paper cup , a paper cup ?? The soup quality was poor , tasteless and small in size . Next our Egg Rolls came out on a plastic plate , the kind you use at an outdoor picnic. The Egg Rolls were full of cabbage and nothing else , terrible. Both of our meals came out on plastic plates also but at least they were bigger than the Egg Roll plates . Her meal came out first and I had to wait about 5 minutes until mine was served , why the wait ?? The ABC was ok , small portion size but eatable. Her meal was better since the pea pods tasted fresh . The Fried Rice we both got was like a perfect scoop of ice cream , never had it served like that before , it was ok taste wise once I put some of my ABC gravy on it . Both meals were $ 10.50 each plus tax. The waitress seemed to be the only one there , she must of had 8 tables to tend , not very fair to her , so she never came by to ask how we were doing or refresh our water / drinks . We will not return , this was our first visit here , since we have other Chinese restaurants we enjoy more .
I got an almond boneless chicken meal here a few weeks ago and was very disappointed. The chicken was a little tough and the sauce lacked strong flavor (it WAS the traditional brown gravy not the fruity stuff though which was good) , the portion was the smallest I have ever gotten for a Chinese restaurant lunch but it was also the most money I have ever spent on a Chinese lunch portion. If you are going to be the most expensive AND the smallest portion the food should be delicious and the egg roll was but the chicken was just ok and the fried rice was average. The dinner roll was soft and not burned at least. The woman at the desk is nice and polite and it was packaged fine and with plastic silverware present in the bag.
This is the best Chinese food in all of southeast Michigan. Everything is fresh, not frozen, and made to order. I drive from Rochester just to eat here. HIGHLY RECCOMEND!
Ok in the past this would be a 4 - 5 star rating. To my disappointment my family had a birthday dinner there on 1/2/2022 and 1st time ever we had Chinese and took not left overs home. That being said, portion size have been scaled way back and prices are nuts. Example a combo dinner for Lo-Mein with chicken, pork & shrimp was $14.75. The 2 extra meats was 50 cents more from the base price of $14.75.The food was good like always service was prompt and courteous. They need to evaluate their portion sizes, you could see the empty plate space for the main dish. Very skimpy.
