Pretty good Mexican food place and the only place around me that I can get a puffy taco. Which are delicious and should be tried by all. I do wish they would fix their rice though it just doesn't seem right and it hasn't changed, last time we were here was probably four or five years ago and it was the same then. Oh yeah if you want to come here and eat there was a sign on the door saying that June 20th 2022, and I heard a women working there saying they were going to close the indoor area down to focus on the drive-thru, indefinitely. What a bummer. The chimichanga we got was REALLY tiny wow, should have put a fork in there for sizing but you can get an idea from the taco next to it and the little bit of guacamole. Thought we were gettin an ok deal till we saw that lol. They're drive thru is always busy and usually out to the road, the menu and where you order are on the opposite side of the parking lot from the building because the line is so long.
Haven’t been here in years so I thought I’d give it a go. Ordered 3 soft tacos, an enchilada and a chimichanga. Came out to $27. I thought that was expensive but I remember their food being good so I was cool with it. Until I opened the containers and found this $5 chimichanga to be smaller than an egg roll! Very disappointing to see how small this thing was at such a high price.
service and food were great...
my food was raw for the second time. chicken was pink and spongey. emailed them and they never responded back. been my favorite restaurant pretty much my entire life but sad to say i won’t be giving them anymore of my business.
Best ever puffy tacos and Mexican food
Not bad, about medium grade Mexican food. The chicken lacks flavor. There's salsa had cumin in it. Cumin is normally reserved for the food as a seasoning. I would recommend it for the novice Mexican food eater. Prices were somewhat reasonable for these days, not terribly expensive.
EL GARBO!!! this place is terrible. I shoulda known something was up when I passed by and nobody was up in there. That was my first red flag I missed. Then I call the place and before I can even tell them my name they yell “if this is a carry out order you can’t use the drive thru!” Then I place my order and I ask if I can have some grilled onions on my taco they said we can only put raw onions on tacos for whatever reason and if I want grilled onions they can give me a side of them for 5 dollars!! Like ok I can buy a 7 whole onions at the grocery store for that but whatever. I order 3 tacos and a side of onions and my bill is 23 dollars. 5 dollars per taco is outrageous as I knew right there that’s the most expensive taco I’ve ever bought and it’s not even authentic Mexican food this is American tex-mex. So I get home and try open the bag and they gave me some chips and salsa. And I’m thinking to myself surely this must be good I just paid 25 bucks. And NOPE! The salsa is watery with no flavor! How can u mess that up? Then I try tacos and instantly regret not going to Taco Bell and just getting some tacos from them cause honestly Taco Bell is 1/3 of the price and is not much worse. Don’t be fooled people this is fast food for fine dining prices. They have a drive thru that should have clued me in. Then of course about 45 minutes after my stomach is bubbling cause the quality was just average at best and now I got the runs…. POOR
Horrible! Paid 16.80 for a full order of Steak Quesadilla and got 2 soft shell tacos. When I called to figure out if some of my order got left. And the lady that answered gave me an attitude and said she bagged my order and it’s right. I took pics of our whole order the picture posted on website and I still have my receipt. I could of gotten a Whole steak at another place for those 2 soft shell tacos that is suppose to be a full order of Quesadillas…. Never again. Horrible service and horrible food for the price.
Decent Mexican food, fast. They brag on puffy tacos, and I don't know why. Their burritos are served with cheese on top.Enchiladas and Rellenos are the go to here, and they nail quesadilla. Mexican Food as interpreted by a decidedly non-Mexican owner. More stars if they would nail burritos and put some chili Verde on the menu.
Definitely a let down. Their menu drastically shrank. They don’t offer Half of what they used to. They raised prices way beyond market prices and their portions are not worth what you pay anymore. 20 dollars for a steak fajita but won’t offer it as a burrito? Why because you want more than 10 dollars per item? Doesn’t make sense. If you want true el charros go to Fraser. Stop ripping us off.
