My family and I are from Toledo and we gladly make the drive to Southgate, MI for this Olive Garden. The quality of service and friendliness of the staff as well the quality of the food are what keep us coming back. If you go on a Friday or Saturday night for dinner make sure to ask for Robert. You will not be disappointed. He is someone who actually cares about his job and his customers. He made my son's birthday that much more memorable by simply taking the time to write Happy Birthday in raspberry sauce on his dessert plate. Haven't come across many that would care enough to do that. Again this Olive Garden is well worth the drive. From the staff, to the food to the restaurant itself you will not be disappointed.
We all know Olive Garden isn't cheap, especially the desserts! I paid $8.50 for a piece of cake (I'm an idiot) with strawberries on it. The problem is, I didn't receive strawberries since the word "strawberries" implies 2 or more! I received 3 halves; so a strawberry and a half, served in a tiny cup with some syrup. When I asked the waitress for more, she made it pretty clear that the answer would be no but would do the hard work of confronting the kitchen staff to find out. As you have guessed correctly, the answer was no, if she even asked in the first place. Never going back!I changed my rating from 1 star to 4 because the customer support team is absolutely stellar! I've never received a response so perfect and fair from any company! I will go back!
All in all, very nice! The food was good and the service was fast! They didn't exactly say what was in every meal on the menu so you'd have to ask the waiter to know for sure, but other than that it was a great time!
I don't understand why,but most waiters/waitresses are very rude lately. I come for a relaxing time today and they had an attitude from the very beginning. We had a group of six and all of us had the unlimited salad. We were brought only one bowl for all of us and had to keep flagging down our waitress for more. She had an attitude every time and never came by on her own to check on us.
I definitely had a better experience this time. Monique N was a awesome host. Her services will definitely bring us back. The hostess from last Saturday I almost didn't return...
My son and I make it a must to go eat at Olive Garden once a week ! Food is great money well spent ! One of the host was just very rude and had a bad attitude and wanted to argue . So her manager Seth came out and made it 10 times worse ! ? We will continue to eat at Olive Garden but just not at the Southgate Mi one on Eureka Rd. Our waitress was fabulous! All it took was that one rude host to ruin our family outing today !
I haven't been to Olive Garden in a long time so I was really looking forward to enjoying a nice meal. The lady at the front room was very nice. I'm not going to mention our waitress's name because I don't want to humiliate her in any way. But after we ordered our food there was a piece of hair in our chicken Alfredo. My daughter quickly noticed it and I asked for a new plate. I didn't make a big deal or overreact but I just simply asked for some bread to go and she did not want to give me any. I guess the oven is baking for a really long time.... I've couldn't made a big deal.. I mean it's not really a pleasant experience to find hair over your chicken Alfredo... But really I just asked for 5 pieces of bread to take home and they didn't want to do that... so that's why I will never come to this place again only if I have no other choice.... There are plenty other restaurants in the area that are willing To treat the customers a little better than this.....
I love this location, this particular visit was awesome. We had a great waitress I didn’t catch her name(wish I could remember it) but she was so attentive, and she was really good with my daughter, even put a little bit of cheese on her plate, and brought her a little Alfredo sauce so she could dip her bread in it. She was a great waitress & all around made our experience wonderful.Would recommend 100%
We didn't want our son who would be in a highchair in the middle of an isle, so we got an attitude from them. We offered to wait because God forbid their servers go an extra 10 ft to serve us. But after something being said by 3 different people we are all good.
Visited this establishment for the first time today and my date and I were beyond impressed. We arrived about 3pm and we're basically done by 3:45pm. We had an appetizer and meals. The host at the door was friendly, food was quick and delicious, plenty of parking and waitress Kiersten was awesome. We left a nice size tip to say thanks for the great service. Highly recommend!!
