Elissa here: this is honestly one of my favorite Mexican restaurants! The salsa and especially the guacamole is the BEST I have ever tasted! They don't overpower with cilantro like other restaurants do which is awesome because I hate cilantro lol. Everything here from start to finish was awesome. The complimentary soup is even delicious too! Our waitress was friendly, our food came out quickly and restaurant is clean too. We were just at Mexican gardens last week and i already want to go back tomorrow!
i come here all the time with my grandma. i never get sick of this place! food is fast. outstanding waiters/waitresses. and excellent authentic media an comfort food. wonderful job. keep up the good work staff!
Came here for dinner tonight with my wife and Father-in-law. We were seated immediately and got chips and salsa almost immediately afterward.We all ordered margaritas and let me tell you they were really good! You can read into that as meaning strong!I ordered the Juanito burrito with steak fajita as seen in the pictures. That was one of the finest burritos I've eaten in a long time, I highly recommend you try it!We're all looking forward to our next visit!
Exceeded our expectations! Friendly warm greeting at the door was the start to a lovely dinner. I would have been satisfied with the complimentary nachos & salsas along with my pomegranate margarita! Delicious! Chris was a fantastic waiter! He was attentive & didn’t miss a beat. Our entrees were chicken fajita & burrito. Took leftovers home to enjoy 2 more meals. Thank you Mexican Garden! The service is wonderful the food is okay, the menu is limited, and the food isn’t close to being authentic. I've had better authentic Mexican food in the downriver area. I'm not sure how they were voted the best. The food is not bad in fact, their food is very fresh. it’s just too Americanized and maybe that’s what the public likes.The prices are a bit high compared to other restaurants of its kind. The portions are smaller than others, they offer less, and your meal comes with more sides, especially with fajitas. The food is okay it's just overhyped in my opinion, I believe the restaurant is letting the community award get to their heads.3 stars for good service and fresh ingredients.
Always loved this place but the past couple years they've made a policy of regulating chips. seriously... at a Mexican restaurant they refuse to give more than 2 small bowls of chips in an attempt to not waste chips. tonight when I ate there the manager literally argued their policy was just because he thought they were similar to other Mexican restaurants. They refused to bring more than 2 bowls at a time even though I was offering to pay for them. Time and money are best spent elsewhere.In response to Mexican Gardens reply: Let's go over the facts here....Only 1 time in my past 5 visits did the wait staff efficiently refill the chip bowls. We had a party of 5. Mexican Garden's chip bowls are small. Smaller than competitors. 2 in our party were boys who will literally eat 3 bowls of chips themselves. Knowing this, I asked for each person to get their own bowl and stated I was willing to pay for this. The waitress refused saying it's against policy. I asked to speak to the manager who also refused. We all ordered full meals. Even though I wasn't happy, I still tipped more than $20 on a $96 bill.This is simple. I offered to pay for the request I was making. Mexican Gardens refused. Clearly, Mexican Gardens finds customers wanting to buy chips unreasonable.
upon sitting I asked for 5 bowls of chips, 1 for each of us, since their chip bowls are so small. I also offered to pay for the extra chips when I asked. they refused. I offered to pay for them. they refused to give me more than 2 at a time
Very tasty food, and fantastic service , our server was very courteous, prompt, and knowledgeable, and can't say enough good things about the manager, we asked to speak with him to let him know what an enjoyable visit we had, very personable guy, chatted with us for a good 15 minutes, and then surprised our daughter's with a desert they loved.Check this place out, you will be glad you did
Ordered a carry out yesterday. Told 25 minutes got there in 15. Food already done and it was cold and wrong. Order taker was very rude. No cheese on the Juanita burrito and Order 2 bean & beef burrito dinners got no beef. They reheated the food in the Styrofoam to.melt the cheese and the food melted into it. Been coming here for years worse place ever last night.
Oh how i miss your food. My daughter and I use to eat at your restaurant at least twice a week. Our favorite was the Mexican sandwich or cheese enchiladas. I know live in Ky but, definitely visit Mexican Gardens every time I come home. Keep up the excellent work!!!❤️❤️
