Best Mexican food downriver and great service...
Both time we have eaten here we were not disappointed! Another authentic Mexican restaurant in the downriver area that has great food and is reasonably priced. This place ranks in my top 5 Mexican restaurants of all time. The wait time was only around 15 minutes and the staff was amazing! Our food didn't take long to come out and was very delicious. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for good food in a great atmosphere.

Waitress was great! Took my grandson out for lunch his fries tasted like Fish our chips tasted like old oil. Spent 40$on food that was thrown in the garbage.
Been eating here on and off for years. Even had them cater three of our parties. And I've never left a rating. This is the place that when you order a dinner, you better be hungry. Because Angelina's feeds you like the proverbial Italian mother. During the catered parties, they'd send so much food, we had to beg our guests to take food home. We'll be back both in-house and for catering.

Watermelon margarita with Petrone could easily be dangerous because they're so good. Fajita burrito with steak was delicious. Mexican sandwich is always good. Friendly service and will be back. Thanks Melanie.

Since our favorite Mexican restaurant closed due to the pandemic, my husband and I have been searching for a local place with all of our traditional favorites. Someone recommended Angelina's in Southgate, so we figured we would give it a try. What a waste of both our time and money! We went on a Friday, 1/21/22 at 5 PM, which I guess would be considered the start of the dinner hour. We were seated immediately, given plenty of chips and salsa, and our server, Saroc, was very friendly and attentive, which was the highlight of the evening for us. Everything quickly went downhill from there.My husband ordered the California burrito dinner and a Bud Light, and I ordered the crispy beef taco dinner. No more than three minutes after we ordered, the food was on the table, which indicated to me something was about to go very badly. My husband's burrito was wrapped in aluminum foil and was absolutely cold: not tepid, not even slightly warm, but cold, as were the rice and beans. We figured the burrito had been pre-made and wrapped and stored somewhere waiting to be served. My tacos were warm, only because the cook had to put the filling into the corn shell and give them a quick fry, but my rice and beans were also cold.My tacos had NO spice or flavor to them, other than cooked ground beef, and were very bland. The rice and beans were just as bland. My husband indicated his burrito was just as flavorless, and he had a difficult time cutting it because the tortilla was cold and he had been given a dull knife.I have a suggestion for the owners - please change your recipes to include a little Southwest seasoning for crying out loud. Either the recipes are faulty, or the cooks are lazy, I'm not sure which, but the food was awful. One positive thing that I CAN mention - the beer was cold, so everything on our table was cold. We won't be back and we will tell our friends to not bother.
