My daughter & I pulled in randomly, hungry for breakfast, and who can resist a pancake house? We should have driven on by…I must say that the food was okay - the Meat Lovers Omelette was generous with the meat. But it was $16.00 and they charged us $2 extra for a sliced strawberry, two blueberries and a cut pineapple round. The $3 cup of coffee tasted horrible!! The $4 orange juice was served in a small styrofoam container. Whatever - we’re new to the area and the food was edible. But I have to say I didn’t read the check closely enough. The server brought a card reader to the table and punched in the numbers and then set it in front of me and turned her back so that I could choose the tip percentage from the menu. I added 20% which I always do unless the service is Amazing, when I’ll tip more. My daughter & I laughed as we left that we just ate the worst $62.45 breakfast for two ever - then she looked at the receipt: The restaurant already added a 20% Gratuity automatically on the bill before giving it to us. On a 2 Top! Who does that??? Never Again!

I ordered the shrimp and grits and a side of catfish . The grits were a bit watery with baby shrimp pieces. I highly suggest ordering extra shrimp. Although the catfish filet was healthy cut. The overall taste was great just wish the shrimp was better Prepare my grits were soup.

We were traveling and decided to stop here and eat. Breakfast food was really good! Staff was very polite, kind and cheerful. If we are in Southfield again, we will stop in and eat!

The food was out of sight this was my first time eating at the Southfield pancake house everybody was very pleasant the waitress was very kind and the food was fresh and so good I will go back here and eat every day if I could

Had breakfast there today Jan 2 2022 and first of all been a long time customer and wanted to continue, but had to post this. Dined in and got coffee and asked for a refresher and was told no refills. Waitress was great Rae, but management would not come out to talk with us was told they to busy . I think this is one on the tackiness moves they could have made.

Terrible service would not recommend!!! Wen in to sit and eat and after waiting over 30 Min the waitress came Back and said the owner just changed the policy to charge full price for all refills. And when I asks to speak to owner the waitress advised that he was too busy to come out. Your too busy to talk to patrons of your establishment

I could not wait to give them a review. this was my first time coming. I had no idea this place was here. first off they are very pleasant. second I had 3 separate orders and all things were right and delicious. MY MOM LOVED HER BLUEBERRY PANCAKES. MY BROTHER LOVED HIS SNICKERS FRENCH TOAST AND MY FRIEND LOVED HER SHRIMP GRITS. I took My family their food at 3 different locations and by the time I got home my food was still warm and delicious. THE BEST BREAKFAST ever. This place is a hidden gem. They got themselves 10 new customers. I hope the guy that brings food to cars put on a jacket bc it is really cold. btw he even walked me to my car with my food.

This place is quickly becoming the worst...I understand it is hard to find help, and good help at that, but if that is the case then be more transparent with your customers.First, try having a legitimate phone number to call (that is ON) and not a mobile phone that sends you straight to voicemail. How can you think that is professional? Don't you believe that cutting off communication to your restaurant will hurt your business? How do you expect to make more money and pay any MORE employees if you're losing business? That's a slippery slope...Secondly, if you do not have the staff in your kitchen to keep up with the order volume, then it may be time to reevaluate your business model or be more transparent with everyone. It would be nice if the estimated time for orders was more clear. With you knowing that you do not have the staff to handle the 8 to 1 ordering ratio, then tell people it will take 1.5-2 hours for their food (this is how long I have patiently waited for until I lost my patience). All in all, this was a really unpleasant experience and if I ever see this place make the necessary changes to better the business I will make another review on their improvement. As for now (11/20/21), you are getting a horrible review in regards to the way you currently operate.

My goal being to support black businesses I enjoyed & accepted the medium rated food taste with that goal in mind. UNTIL my meal was poorly prepared. I had to call a dozen times to even get someone on phone. Then the worker eventually hung up on me when I continued to request a manager. I was advised no one was available and to send message via email from contact info on their site. Well that took over a week to get a response, which was basically condescending, lacked care/e

I was on assignment to take a few pictures of their dishes and I was pleasantly surprised how good this food looked. The crabcakes are awesome. The chef/owner Gregory Who lives locally and has six children, studied at Schoolcraft College under the famous Brian Polcyn. This place is clean and the service is very friendly. I really think you will be delighted to dine here. Hello there is anything you can take away from the reviews you read here is that I go to a ton of restaurants and I know quality. I also know the people that put their heart and soul into their business. Gregory is truly an amazing man.
