This will be my last visit to this location. The portion size changes monthly! Offering only a pinch full of toppings, the items that gives the meal it's freshness, and flavor makes for a dry lunch! To give a pound of nacho chips, with only 1/4 teaspoon of cheese, no longer makes it a meal. Better said it was disgusting in my Daffy duck voice!!!!
I go to the location in Troy....and the chips are always great.I don't know how they prepare their chips in Southfield compared to Troy, but it does not compare to Troy location!!!Some chips were burnt or just overcooked....I took a catering size bag back just to see if prepared again would better....but same bad chips!!!!I will never order chips from the Southfield location and would prefer to drive an additional 15 miles to the Troy location.Same issue with their burritos or burrito bowls as some other reviews have said. Tasteless…… go to the Troy location or to the Renaissance Ceneter...and you will notice a vast difference in flavor
I was in the area and chose to order a chicken taco salad. I have to say it was not good at all. The ingredients seemed both very cheap and stale. The small amount of iceberg lettuce was limp and soggy before I could even eat it. I could go on... Compared to other mexican eateries, the puny, small portion size was definitely not worth the price they charge at all!
I have to say; for some reason, this place was not on my radar at all.I found out about this place because they brought chips and salsa to our office.Their chips were nice and crispy, and the salsa was delicious.I went to the Southfield location, and I have to say, the customer service they were outstanding.I order chips and salsa and chicken and steak tacos. They were fantastic. I will be coming back for sure.
I love Salsarita’s and was THRILLED that a location was opening nearby AND with a drive through!? Yay!!! But, after 3 failed experiences, I’m writing this review.First experience was okay. The food wasn’t as good as it usually is. I had to ask for a reasonable amount of chips in my combo. It was the first week the place opened, so the experience was within reason.Second experience was disappointing. I went through the drive through and my order was wrong and then they did fix. Found out after I got home that they messed it up a second time. This wasn’t a complex order, and the errors were substantial enough to mention in this review.Third experience was just plain weird. They refused to let people order because they were slammed with online orders. Told everybody to wait 20 minutes or so before they could place an order. When the ordering did take place, I noticed that the speed seemed slower before and during the order. It was a weird way to handle it all, and I think they were hoping that walk-ins would just leave. The person making my order got distracted because she messed up someone else’s order. It was a cluster.I hope this business gets it together because I love the Salsarita’s chain. I will continue to go a couple more times, and will erase this review if things improve. To be noted, I’ve never been dissatisfied with my numerous visits to other locations (Dearborn [closed] location, and 2 Rochester Hills locations).
This is my second visit here. I used to work in the Renaissance Center and Salsarita's was so pleasing to the palate, along with the customer service. My first visit, I ordered chicken nachos with queso, black beans and lettuce. They gave me a very small cup of queso that I requested to be put on my nachos. The chicken was old, dry and cold and it was very under par. So I visited again today for a second try and the same thing. The chicken is very bland and no queso at all this time. I paid close to $10.00 for something Del Taco or Taco Bell could have done better. I'm surprised this location is still open. I'm sure they won't be for long. Totally unacceptable!
Went yesterday and ordered 2-hard shell tacos and nachos with beef with no tomatoes. What I got was 2-soft tacos and nachos with tomatoes. Very disappointing. Was offered to fix the problem, but that doesn't help when you've already waited for you order, and have to wait again. The cry for $15 an hour is not a battle cry worthy of the service you get for it. It is possible that communication of the order to those preparing the order is the cause of the order being screwed up. I will try the business again in hopes of better service, which is something that can make or break an establishment.
I visited this establishment for the first time on 03/28/2022. I had been craving a burrito, so when I saw this restaurant, I said, ah ha, I can get the burrito I've been craving. I ordered the chicken burrito, a beef burrito and a shrimp taco salad for my husband. When I arrived at the window I noticed that the preparer was putting sour cream on my burrito, I HATE SOUR CREAM YUK!! But the preparer was wrapping the burrito in the foil. Mind you, it is on the menu that it is made with sour cream, but I overlooked that part, because I was excited about getting the burrito I had been craving. Well, I got the preparer's attention and I told him that I did not see that it came with sour cream. He said, No problem ma'am I can make you another one." I felt bad that I had to have him do that, but he took it all in stride and remade it for me. So many times when people have to redo something or get the order wrong, the customer receives attitude from them. This was my mistake, and the young man serviced me with a great attitude and no problems. I know this may seem like a small thing but to me it is huge. I love great customer service and I received that on this day from that young man, and the staff. Not to mention the food was great. I will most certainly go back again.. I hope that they stay in business, because the location that they are in has been several different restaurants before. Best of luck and thanks for the great service and food.
Decided to give them a try because I always visited the RenCen location when working downtown. Immediately upon entering, young lady serving a guest sneezes directly into her hand. A few moments after this, a tall Caucasian gentlemen I’m assuming the manager, looks me square in the eye, no “hello” or “welcome!” Restaurants don’t know how far just a simple greeting goes. Anywho I did myself the disservice of staying. Ordered a shrimp burrito that was nothing to brag about. Not very hot, pretty bland and the rice was chewy as if it had been sitting all day. The only compliment I could give was that the serving size was ample, two people could easily become full from the one burrito. This location has some work to do. I cannot promise I will be back.
Went here around 3pm today, Food and Service Were FANTASTIC. Very friendly and that's a BREATH OF FRESH AIR.
