I ordered their standard rubber with fries and a drink. This sandwich came packed to the brim a softball sized layer of moist and savory corned beef. The ratio of dressing, Is sauerkraut, and corned beef was perfect. The home made French fries were addictive and better than most burger joints!Overall the food was amazing, and would hit the spot of anyone with a large appetite looking for a great mid day meal. I should note that this level of cravings satisfaction does come at a price though; the meal was about a $17 total.
My Dad and sister-in-law were visiting from Florida and Houston! We had Corned Beef sandwiches with coleslaw and Russian dressing on an onion rolls! 1 person had a ham sub and another with Corned Beef and Sauerkraut! The sandwiches were delicious!The staff was fun too! We tried to order online, but when I called to find out what time to pick it up, they had not received the order. So, my Dad called in and I picked it up! I mentioned what happened and they remembered talking to me on the phone!!! We are laughing about how glad we were to have it all work out!!!
Service was pretty quick and order takers were polite and accommodating. Of course the corned beef sandwiches are absolutely delicious as always at the Southfield location. The other locations are too inconsistent for my taste.
Never experienced such rudeness at an establishment serving food. Placed an online order hoping that if the order was wrong it would be my fault because they have printed out exactly what I wanted. When I called to complain all I hear over the phone is employees cussing and yelling back and forth. This is a business, get some training from chick fil a.
Definitely my new favorite place to get corned beef. I definitely recommend stopping here if you're looking for some good corned beef. Good and fast service too.
When you are trying to call in and place your order, the line is always busy and when you finally get a person on the line you are quickly placed on hold. Once you have the chance to place your order and given a 15-20 minute time, it really doesn’t matter because once you get in there it’s another 25 minute wait. While you sit/stand there watching the cooks in the back talking & laughing, arguing with the cashiers, the cashiers handling money, fixing drinks, arguing, not washing hands, yelling, working in their organized chaos. All while inhaling the scent of dirty mop water.It’s definitely like how it use to be. While this is my favorite place to get a corned beef sandwich from because of the flavor they now charge you wayyy more for wayyyy less meat. My favorite sandwich is the Counterman’s Treat. I use to only be able to eat half of the sandwich but now it’s like a coleslaw sandwich with a touch of meat.
Visiting home this week after years. Still fire ?. They forgot my piece of cake but it's all good, checked the receipt and they didn't charge me for it. Oh well, lol
I ordered corned beef on Onion roll with Swiss cheese, Russian dressing & coleslaw. Totally delicious! Yes there is a wait but if I call my order in while I'm in route it's usually ready when I get there. Corned beef is just what it is corned beef no fillers perfect ?
After all these years Lou's is still serving the community excellent corn beef. I can't afford a dinty more combo but every blue moon. But babyyyyy I'm never disappointed.
Lou's Deli was in our neighborhood growing up and they are STILL my FAVORITE corned beef joint ANYWHERE in the world because they have lean, tender, juicy corned beef, perfectly crisp on the outside - fluffy on the inside - steak fries and excellent, old world rye bread! Please don't sleep on the TIPS for the workers- theres a big box on the counter but NO option to add a tip on your bill! Everyone working there has a smile, kind word and pleasant attitude! Truly a joy because the food is filled with LOVE!
