Sweet and sour chicken is bomb!
First time trying take out here in southfield. The hands down best Chinese food I have had in a very long time. The vegetables were fresh. The food was nice and hot when I got home. Most of all definitely a great amount of food for the money considering how high the cost of food is right now. Will definitely be making this a go to place for those fast dinner nights.
I’ve been eating at this establishment for over 20 yrs. I went there today the lady at the window was very rude. Because I asked her to check my order she be came irritated….. then I asked for crackers, so mumbled something and threw the crackers in the bag and she said to me are you satisfied now.Also, they must have a new cook the food taste different….. not as tasty as before.The lady at the counter was very busy and runny around and took it out on the customers.I’m glad I’m not the person I use to be…God changed me. I never raised my voice at her.
$21 dollars for a fake General Tso chicken. I know the ingredients in a Tso, and this sweet sauce is not it. Save your money and taste buds and go over to Hunan much better CF in SF.
?delicious sweet and sour chicken [wish i'd asked for sauce to be on side]and shrimp fried rice [ashame I paid extra and it only had 5 big shrimp in the huge pile of rice], hot food that's not greasy tasting.
The chicken and garlic sauce was well cooked. The vegetables were very fresh and you could tell the plate was hot off the grill. I am not a 'Chinese Food' eater so this was a pleasant experience.
We have been comparing Egg Fu Yung from many venues in our area to find a good source to rely on. This was the lesser value from four different places we have tried so far. Overcooked and hard to slice. Patties were half the size of all the other places we have tried so far. Worse was how cheaply they shoved 4 patties into a small rice carry out container that should have only fit two patties at most. Tacky and cheap. The location was perfect for us but we will not go here again. No way.
So far, excellent! House fried rice and shrimp egg roll are great. Portion size is very good, pricy Chinese food but worth it for the amt of food and taste. I have personally not had any issues and the staff was pleasant when I visited. Frequent purchaser of this establishment at this time.
I have been in this community for several years and have eaten at Empress Gardens for years. There is woman that takes the orders over the phone and at the wiñdow that is rude, argumentative, and disrespectful. I will no longer patronize this establishment from this day forward. The owners response to my concern was; "You know good help is hard to find." My response to the owner" My money is hard to spend in a place that do not respect or appreciate their customers."
This is the best Chinese food. My husband has been frequenting it for 15 years and has fond memories of it and even though we moved out of state, whenever we get a chance we order a big order and check-in luggage to have a taste of Empress Garden. Their chicken is really fresh.
