I have ordered from CK many times over the past years. Their customer service is always great. Now you cant order on the phone , must be in person or thru a third party app like doordash...etc. The hummus has great flavors, never dry. Salads always fresh and crispy. Garlic sauce to die for. Fried kibbie and grape leaves so good. I have tried almost everything on their menu and always spot on. The chicken shawarma with rice and salad seems to be my go to plate as of recent.
Order the chicken kabob with rice and the house salad (chicken added) First off the music in the store was too loud, the cashier couldn't hear me nor I her, secondly she had air pods on which made it even harder to communicate with her. The 90% of the drinks that were in the machine were empty. Waited 15 mins to get my food and the rice was cold as hell as well as the chicken. Just an all around bad experience and this was my first and last time going here.
Decent food, but masks were not worn by staff, and they charged $2.49 for a glass of water. A bit overpriced for what we got, but that's to be expected these days. Mostly just frustrated by charging for water.
Great food and great experience. The place is set up with a glass window along the counter so you can see your food being made. They even brought my 3 year old grandson an order of fries for free after we sat down.
The experience overall was pretty good. I had a vegie plate with some gyro meat on the side. It had grape leaves, hummus, tabbouleh, a salad, grilled assorted veggies and some pita bread. All of it was tasty except the grilled veggies. They showed NO love to those grilled veggies. No oil, salt, pepper, nothing, just slightly blackened but not cooked. The gyro meat was pretty good but I could tell that they it had been cut off of the "spit rolled meat" earlier in the day, and just warmed up on the grill when I ordered it. Overall I give the place a 3.5.
They are not currently taking phone orders, so you have to order through a food delivery service like Doordash or UberEats. The food was hot and ready when I picked it up! Super good!!
We love this food. This, to me is the taste of Michigan. For real order from here!!
CK is hands down the best place to go. The food is always amazing and the staff are top knotch. If you're even remotely curious about trying them, do it!
The service was so great and the food was impeccable!!! The serving size was much that I ate on it for lunch the next day. I wanted to go back the 2nd day for dinner! Thank God we don't live in Southfield because I would be there everyday. Thank you so much for good food thru Covid, when other restaurants have cut the customer service and the flavor of their food. It makes me eat at home most of the time.
Mixed crowd at lunch generally signals a popular place for all taste buds. Sure enough we had a great meal. Order was ready in under 5 minutes, and the fries are simply amazing?! Loved it, you can't go wrong with anything you order, the lentil soup was great, shawarma was great and the accompanying veggies/ salad is great.
