Check your order before leaving. Pack your patience. The online ordering is third party, they don't have access. Delicious food, best smoked brisket around! Portions are decent at the pound, even that is a little bit (especially for the cost) lol. if you have a taste for something, get it early or you may be out of luck. Sides are decent, small or large... small really is small. I must try the pulled pork and ribs... sauce is good too. All food (meats) seems to have a kick to it, even without the sauce.
The food is really, really good - we've never had anything bad, and love some of their unique stuff (loaded potatoes and quesadillas are amazing). Knocked off a star because like other reviewers have mentioned, the pickup/order experience is a bit sloppy, and they keep some pretty unique hours compared to other BBQ joints. We don't order there as often as we'd like because half the time we get a craving and look them up, they're closed.
Stop by today at 1130 at picked up some burnt ends. They only sliced some brisket and chopped it up in front of me. They weren't double smoked and also they were dry, tough, under seasoned so sauce smoked on it. Don't waste your time!!!
A couple years ago I gave this place a 5 star rating. I know Covid has wrecked havoc on many restaurants. But I can no longer recommend this place. I've been there twice in the last month.1) Customer service is awful. Rude cashiers and long wait times even when you place an order long before the scheduled pick up time.2) The quality of the food is not the same. Almost as bad as Billy Simms before they went under.It's really a shame.
Que is good especially the brisket. Only gripe is online ordering. It’s no point in having online ordering with a specific time pick-up and you still have to wait 10 minutes (11:15 pick up and it’s 11:25 and I’m still waiting on my food) for your food when you get there! This needs to be worked on as well as some of the front counter staff customer service skills. Also you don’t get much food for your buck. I’m only giving 4 stars because of the quality of the Barbecue! I spent $19 on food pictured below.
Don't get me wrong Arkins is ok BBQ.But it does really fall short on individuality, Amongst the competition.The pork and brisket were dried out within 10 min of being packaged.The tips were very tough, with more fat and gristle tendons than tender meat.The Mac was very gritty, as if sand was Main ingredient.Sadly I don't think it's worth more than a 15 min drive. Any longer is not justifiable for the quality
I paid $38;for a full slab & 2 sides. The ribs were burnt, very hard. Very disappointed never going back. Does the same guy own this? The one who used to come around your table to see how the food was, if so unbelievable turn around from a few years ago
